I've just had a bit of an 'aren't lessons in life bloody hard sometimes' moment. My DD had written a song for BinWeevils and was a finalist. She just got home to be greeted by the news she hadn't won

She was trying to be all brave and say "Oh well, it doesn't matter" but then her bottom lip went and we both ended up in tears.

Realised today that one of my friends has the same name as one of the characters, poor thing.

I've just got the DCs ready for school and then received texts from both schools to say they are shut due to the weather. Understandable given the forecast but how I wish we'd got up a little later today.

Oh well, they can watch Doctors with me later.

I got halfway through yesterday's and had to go out. Dh watched IN MY ABSCENCE and then updated me. He's getting the hang of it now, even learning some of our phrases.

I can't believe it bloody snowed- but I'm glad i took the dcs to breakfast club(they don't need to go, but my mum runs it, so they like to go). The weather is far worse now than it was at 7.30.

Something tells me ds's after school rounders club will be cancelled

Tomorrow isn't looking good schoolwise either. Snow has resumed here, thick and fast.
