I thought it was having a fortnight off for Christmas but not on today

The actor is 21, playing a teenager. In true neighbours current style.

I was surprised that the Steph actress had a 21 year old son tbh but turns out she is 39.

I think brad left around the same time as Lauren, so 1993, he eloped to marry Beth and since his new wife isn't called Beth this one must be his second wife. Beth and brad had a baby, offscreen called Ted or Ned or something, say it was born a year after they left in 1994 meaning oldest son would be 18/19 but he would be Beth's not new wife's. I don't remember Pam and Doug mentioning brad and Beth spilting up whilst they were still around Nd they left late 1994. Possible I guess for him to have remarried but it would have been quick!

Wow, I really can't believe he left so long ago! I would have guessed ten years ago, not 20!

I thought Steph was older than 39 to be fair. She definitely looks it in the trailers for her return.

Brad, Beth et al were my teen years, I double checked the dates but knew approx as I thought it was around the time I was doing my gcses, which was 1994.

He's bringing a new wife (Sophie from Home and Away) and I think the children are meant to be theirs. So they will probably be messing with the dates and ages of the children, like they did with Paul's returning children, to make it sort of work.

I don't know we are meant to be nostalgic for the reunion of Lauren and Brad but it's a bit hard when they are both completely different people!

also I think Lauren is not old enough to have Mason as a son. Is he meant to be about 21. She was only a teenager in 1993.

Brad always looked like a male Barbie doll and seemed a bit dim. I remember Adam there older son in it briefly who was a bit brighter.

Mason is supposed to be 18 (I don't believe it either).

You've got me remembering Ringo's death. It was so sad! Remember Donna opening all the presents he'd set out for her? Think it was for an anniversary, was it a month?

I hated Steph even more after that. Was there ever a more ridiculous story-line than the fake marriage to Toadie? Why, oh why, did they do that? Lied to everyone, their own families - for what? And everyone forgave them!

No Mason looks alot older. Rhiannon looks like she has rolled up from a 1980's American movie - Trailer trash look.

also who lives in the house which was the Scullys/Robinsons - is it Ajay or Sheila/Kyle.

Tash/Michael house was bought by Troy. Now I think it's the hosue Lucas owns, but is lived in by Lauren and family!

Every time I see Kyle's house and that weird raised platform bit in the corner I remember Helen Daniels sitting at her desk, running her Home James chauffeur business.

I thought Lauren's lot lived in the house that Madge and Harrold etc used to live in which was Lou's. Who lives there now?

I remember Jim falling down dead in Kyle's house.

I always remember Paul's house as it has an upstairs.

Emilia decided to go back in her parents in Croatia I think, after all the trouble with tash finding out about her and Michael and her mother's death. Michael did a last-minute dash to go with her. Tash has now decided to drop in on them while in Paris.

I am confused about who Steph is coming to see - Lucas and Toadie I guess. And check her mother's business is still there.

I didn't realise Ajay and Rani were in Harold's old house. It's the shame the ghost of Madge can't see off the ghost of Priya.

is Madge dead? I thought she had just been written out years' ago and gone to be in Emmerdale etc.

oh of course she died of cancer didn't she. its just come back.

This influx of new & fairly rubbish characters is making me miss Tash & Andrew, which I wouldn't have thought possible! Feels like the show is in flux a bit at the moment and has lost its rhythm. I had to laugh when Kate was saying to Georgia the other day how they were both gorgeous girls who could get any man they wanted...! On what planet?! (Disclaimer: Georgia is quite pretty but Kate must emit pheromones or have some other invisible power over men.)

It is in flux - wait till next week, when the characters in the opening credits get rearranged, the theme tune gets an utter mauling and The Return Of Steph. Unfortunately it looks like we are getting "Amber and Bailey in school" etc storylines too

Mason's hair seems to have flown in from the 80s.

I thought he was aiming for the "Grease" look myself. Especially when he finally put a jacket on. Wouldn't it be great if Bailey did turn himself in and get sent to "juvey" - especially if the whole family felt the need to move back to be near him. Mason can stay, it's the rest of them...

I hate the way they abbreviate everything to a shortened version. Talk properly can't you - juvey indeed :)

Mason's hair is pretty awful. Perhaps they will do a turn of Greased lighting and Kate could be Sandy (not).

I thought it was a tv thing, growing up but then discovered real life aussies do it too (see what i did there ).

It is quite good they seem to be planning to cover testicular cancer with Lucas, assuming that's where that is going. I'm sure Karl is the oncologist too....

I blame neighbours for everyone calling it 'uni', it's university!
