I thought it was having a fortnight off for Christmas but not on today

Toadie had 2 weddings to Steph - the real one he decided against at the alter and the fake one they went thru with.

They really laid it on thick with the script for Rhys' walk of doom in the hospital carpark.

And I don't understand how Rhys could have stayed in the hospital anyway as there are only 2 rooms surely and Priya and Sonia have them taken already? Where have they shipped baby Patrick off to?

It was quite gripping otherwise apart from Lou's new family whose scenes I now fast-forward

I cant stand Lou's family and fast forward their scenes too montage. I know who dies as it says on my sky planner for the episodes info, obviously im not telling though

I'm watching last nights episode and Rani makes me feel very, very stabby. Shut the actual fuck up about your dress, child! All the Kapoors could do with being in an unfortunate accident.

Why, if there had been a major incident, which I'm assuming an explosion is, is Carl in surgery with Priya? He's not a surgeon so I'm assuming he was just standing there twiddling his thumbs?

I loved the way they have a heart monitor next to Sonya but all she has is a finger thingy which does pulse and oxygen stats. To get the lines on a machine you need multiple wires, I know because DH has been rigged up to these several times now.

Are there definitely going to be two deaths then?

I love the mid stop text from Priya! And Rani laying it on thick about not answering the texts (but I am totally with her on the hideous 1950's 'Janet and John dress-her mum clearly hates her!)

But I am surprised no one seems to notice that this is the second fatal tradegy to happen on Toady's wedding day. That man has such bad wedding luck!!

I shall feel so sorry for Elaine if Rhys dies. Bad enough that she's suffering from (I think?) Motor Neurone disease. But to lose her only (again i think, he's an only) child, would be just too heartbreaking. Would Neighbours be that cruel?

As an aside has anyone else noticed that neighbours is sponsored by apple, there are some serious product placements going on, all characters have MacBooks and iPhones.

I noticed that too, Katz. Tbh, I don't think much of their medical advisor full stop. On a couple of occasions they've had a character in 'Intensive Care', and you can clearly hear the ventilator going in the background, but they just have a simple oxygen mask on their faces - no endotracheal tube at all! I used to be a Theatre nurse, and stuff like that pisses me off no end.

Perhaps I should offer my services to the programme? I am sure I could cope, if they flew me out to consult once a week or so!

Well they need a new nurse as Aiden has disappeared - he obviously had to leave the hospital the moment Chris broke up with him. It will take the burden off Dr Karl now that the only other doctor in Melbourne is dead. Do you know much about "Ramsay Street Amnesia" though?

I still suspect Dee sucumbed to it and will reappear some day soon.

So Rhys & Priya gone, and Sonya suffering from good old Ramsey St amnesia! Is this the end for the maddeningly annoying Kapoor family? And why bring Rhys's dad back into it now?

Maybe Rhys' dad will get back together with his mum as some sort of plot compensation for losing Rhys!

Ohhhh I had a horrible suspicion that Sonya was going to be the latest Ramsey Street amnesiac.

Am I the only one that feels a bit cheated by Rhys' death? Not nearly dramatic enough.

The only bad thing about killing off Priya is that we will now have to endure many many scenes of Ajay and Rani.

He will probably immediately metamorphose into a helpless single dad who suddenly knows nothing about parenting and then either his mother will turn up (more Kapoors) or off he'll go and Rani will move in with Susan and Karl.

I will miss Rhys, he was a more realistic actor/character than most of them.

And in the near future he will develop a thing for Kate (they all do in the end!), who will be ever so helpful, what with her amazing experience as a teacher, who will also now become principle as there is a vacancy in the one-teacher school...

Yeah...and Rhys' death was pants. He sort of just fell over mid plot. Did he fall out with the script writers or something? (Remembers that episode in friends where Joey gets suddenly written out!)

Rhys' s death was odd - you're right, not dramatic enough. And not drawn out enough. They've made extremely benign stories last for months in the past!

I think he was knocked over by the sheer weight of the subtext in the lines in that scene.

Karl repeatedly says he shouldn't leave, Kyle keeps asking if he's ok, Rhys announces he is going to visit his ill and disabled mother that night and is now planning to reconcile with his father. His actual last words were that life is too short .

Why they didn't just have him shout "I am about to die!" I don't know.

I think it's accepted on aussie soaps that due to budgetary considerations, they have to boot some actors as soon as they get new ones.

So Lou's overgrown teenage grandchildren arrive and Priya and Rhys get the sack.

There are 3 more of the regular cast due to leave shortly too.
