I'm watching Smile

Picturesinthefirelight · 06/01/2013 21:00

Am looking forward to watching this. Hoping it isn't the disappointment the paradise was.

HighBrows · 06/01/2013 21:11

So far so good!

It's a bit manic isn't it?

Mrsrudolphduvall · 06/01/2013 21:28

Becky from Corrie scrubs up well.

PenelopePisstop · 06/01/2013 21:39

Still a 'good time' girl though Smile

auldspinster · 06/01/2013 21:55

It has the bootiful Gregory Fitoussi from Spiral in it.

NoelHeadbands · 06/01/2013 22:04

Why have all the women got MASSIVE hair?

I'm trying not to watch, we missed the start so I'll catch up later

PenelopePisstop · 06/01/2013 22:15

The hair is taking over!

I'm scared to leave the room it's so fast paced. For the first time ever I'm glad of the ad break so I can make a brew. Love it.

Darkesteyes · 06/01/2013 22:44

Im loving this too. It does NOT deserve the slagging off its getting on Twitter.

TheGreatGatsby · 06/01/2013 22:53

Having started this thread I then missed the whole episode due to partner being a massive pain and baby being cranky. Oh well. There's always ITV Player. Hmm

MrsDeVere - yes it was the Middlesex hospital site!

AloeSailor · 06/01/2013 23:21

Bloody hell it was slow.

MunchkinsMumof2 · 06/01/2013 23:21

I really enjoyed it, so much better than The Paradise. I like all the different plots and the fact it's fast moving.

It was so fast and whirly, yet not a lot really happened.

I did enjoy it though.

limitedperiodonly · 07/01/2013 13:42

I loved it. Downton is dead to me now.

I loved it. I love me some period drama of a Sunday evening.

Boomeringue · 07/01/2013 18:58

This is everything that The Paradise should have been, and with quite a few parallels. I love the lavish scale.

PenelopePisstop · 07/01/2013 20:27

Period drama and shopping. Result.

limitedperiodonly · 08/01/2013 10:27

I quite fancy Jeremy Piven. I shouldn't, because he has an awful RL name and a beard, but I can't help myself.

MissMogwi · 08/01/2013 12:25

Me too. I've just stalked googled him, apparently he's 47. Looks a lot younger IMO.

I fancy him more as Mr Selfridge than in real life though.

FellowshipOfFineFellows · 08/01/2013 12:33

I really enjoyed it too.

It helps that the acting was great.
