We watched all of the WW when I had hyperemesis right through my pregnancy with DS. I've just not found an adequate replacement for this time...

Just watched on E4. Do you think the man that came looking for Declan, who seemed a bit shifty, could be the one that ends up as the body under the sea?

Could the guy on the boat be the guy who rescued her from the sea in Japan? The hand looked puffy which could be indicative of age or size (thinking Jack or white haired man)

Well as an experienced watcher of crime shows, I must say the puffing could be due to being submerged in water - although that's in the real world of actual science, not the world of risk-free instant DNA tests on unborn children :)

tribpot - I watched diver scene again (6 times..) and you are damn right, it IS a compass!

as the diver lifts it, you can see the needle moving swiftly - that wouldn't happen with a watch .

and did you realize that onthe photo the diver looks at Jack is wearing the same grey checkered shirt that's on the arm! (or at least very similar)

that is a casual type of shirt, not one Conrad or Daniel is likely to own. or Takeda for that matter.

so unless the shirt is a re-dress, It's probably Jack.

I am still holding out hope it's Amanda-Emily in one of Jack's shirts. In the final screenshot in my note (which I have lightened) you can see the darkness that looks like hairiness is shadow/smoke/potentially horrid peeliness of dead skin

It wouldn't make sense to kill Jack off because without him Emily-Amanda would just go into auto-destruct mode. So unless they only want to make two series, and the second ends with everyone dead, I am going to keep believing in Jack.

LOL amazingmum - it's a magnet. No reason why it wouldn't work underwater (otherwise submarines would just have to point in the right direction and hope for the best ... )

I think the reason you're suspicious is because of most of the 'science' on the show is so ludicrous

I was actually thinking that it would not work because it 's got WET on the inside (see the bubble?) so the parts might get rusty and needle would not swivel - so not the magnet bit, but the actual mechanism....
(sorry for crap phrasing)

anyway, I know what you mean about distorted information!

My favourite misrepresented fact is a parachuter "shooting upwards" when the canopy opens....

(just in case someone didn't know, it only looks like that because the person filming it is still free falling at that point, but the other's speed slows down....)

I should start a thread about "classic cliches in the movies":

• lonely hero beats gang up one by one;
• US phone numbers start with 555
• oddly shaped sheets fully covering naked woman, but bloke's side is only belly button high

• how we always see the bra falling to the floor, but when they finish she's already put it back on - I mean who does that?
• if there's a noise in the basement the woman checking it out must wear a see through nightie and so on....

No idea what's going on with the secret gang of rich people, but I love that the Emily-Amanda/Fauxmanda/Emily-Amanda's mother storyline has cranked up a step!
