  • sit on the lap of the character of your choice. (I think you'll find Kevins is already taken). Grin
  • get a home visit. (Almost guaranteed whatever your ailment)
  • have Jimmi, Heston or practically anyone else provide free detective work.

...or you could just wait around to be screamed at by Gobby.

How can you resist? Grin

To explain to any newbies , this is a very friendly thread that welcomes any fans of the afternoon soap called 'Doctors'.

I'll post the list of commonly used acronyms in a minute but they aren't compulsory, honest!

Bloody hell, after silence for ages, loads of fireworks going off here and DD just woken. Hopefully she'll settle now I've tucked her in again. Why are people letting them off now???

MsNobodyAgain · 01/01/2013 00:47

He's not been well. Bless him.

Prince Charming is the best song anyway, and video. The late Diana Dors.

Sigh. They don't make 'em like that any more.

What struck me this year with DD being really into Christmas for the first real time, able to sing along to the old classics etc, is that she was singing along to stuff that came out when I was younger than her! Wizzard and Slade! They don't make them like that any more. I wondered if her children will be singing along to them, as nothing else has come close.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 01/01/2013 00:53

Night MsN.

Happy New year SDTPs!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 01/01/2013 01:00

Pet Clarke has had more booze than me.

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 01/01/2013 01:15

Wow you lot can chat! TV came back in time for the fireworks, luckily missed the Hootenanny, Jools is a great pianist but an irritating presenter. Adam Ant and Dexy's were not my cup of tea back in the 80s so didn't mind missing them tonight, DH would have made us watch it.

Finally got the DCs to bed, off myself now, night all.

Oodhousekeeping · 01/01/2013 07:38

Happy New Year Doctors fans :)
I didn't manage midnight by ages

biscuitanne I got your name straightaway this morning so I must have been too tired last night

MsNobodyAgain · 01/01/2013 09:00

Did someone say it started again today?

Oodhousekeeping · 02/01/2013 12:58

Yep, signing in.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 02/01/2013 13:03

We're about to go out Sad

AnneEyhtMeyer · 02/01/2013 13:04

I'm here, hoping I may get to watch live, even if it means using the iPlayer.

I currently have exclusive use of the TV, as DD is playing with DH in the playroom, but I just know that as soon as 1.45 arrives she'll decide she needs to watch Disney Jr. Xmas Angry

MsNobodyAgain · 02/01/2013 13:14

I should be here but with the DCs and just me, it can all change in a heartbeat! Grin

I have bribed them with more plastic crap presents today so I'm hoping for a bit of peace.

Terrywoganstrousers · 02/01/2013 13:24

Hurrah, cant wait! I was hoping I'd be watching the next installment with a squishy newborn but will be bouncing on my ball instead!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 02/01/2013 13:28

Can we persuade you to name it Zara or Heston, Terry?

Raahh · 02/01/2013 13:38

I have just taken down the tree- I hate anything Christmas-y post Boxing Day,it feels all wrongSad. Dh is at work, so will leave everything in the middle of the floor til it eventually makes it to the loft.

I might miss today- dd2 has givenuponnaps, and the other two are tryingto kill each other. roll on Monday And tomorrow I will be out for ds's birthday party. With 7 other 9-10 year old boys. It seemed like a good idea when I booked it. only now I have to drive, and I hate motorways. And big roundabouts. And 9-10 year old boysGrin

Raahh · 02/01/2013 13:40

ooh- a Doctors birthing thread! Grin

Winifred is a lovely name. Howard, not so muchGrin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 02/01/2013 13:45

Ok, I'm sat here still with the exclusive use of the TV. It can't last, can it?

MsNobodyAgain · 02/01/2013 13:48

Oh, TBFE and Emma...we should get the back story!

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 02/01/2013 13:48

Ooh! I have a similar green paint to TBFE!

MsNobodyAgain · 02/01/2013 13:50

It won't last Anne, don't kid yourself.

Raahh my tree went down the day after boxing day.

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 02/01/2013 13:55

It is like watching Casualty - waiting for someone to have an accident!

MsNobodyAgain · 02/01/2013 13:57

"isn't this roomy". Ugh!!!!!

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 02/01/2013 13:57
