There.

OP posts:
LadyClariceCannockMonty · 19/12/2012 11:26

Yes, exactly that.

Sparklingbrook · 19/12/2012 11:31

It's not like they had been apart for 3 weeks or anything. She would have seen her in the morning. All v contrived.

RamblingRosa · 19/12/2012 11:39

Yes, when she was in the dance off the week before, I said to DP "I bet you she'll wheel out the cute daughter in the training video clip next week to try to win some votes". Lo and behold, the cute daughter was wheeled out. Very predictable. I like being right Xmas Grin.

Surely everyone's dream partner has to be Vincent? I think he's hilarious. I would towering over him but no matter.

AdesteFiderer · 19/12/2012 11:47

Ah, yes. I know they've often done that before.

I still much preferred the old VTs when there were only 2 dances a week (right?) and they showed more of the training in ITT as well, not just show highlights. So when you watched on Sat you could see if/how celeb A had/had not mastered a particular step and you generally learned much more about what's important in each dance. The judges comments made more sense then too.

Or am I wearing my nostalgic specs? Xmas Grin

frankinsensible · 19/12/2012 11:55

The 'rugrat' thing is particularly annoying given the way celebs complain of press intrusion into their children's lives and then exploit them when it suits. I remember going right off Gavin Henson when he did that and Nicky tried it after he was in the dance-off for the first time, it really doesn't wash.

OodKingWenceslas · 19/12/2012 12:14

Who was the big blond cricketer who went and did ballroom with his sons class after they said it wasn't cool? It was probably a bit of a set up but came across less fake than now.

What happened to all the group dances they used to do too?

digerd · 19/12/2012 12:36

Vincent is only 5'7" tall, so can partner only short girls as female dancers wear high heels of 3" at least. I love Pasha, but when they are dancing I watch only Kimberley. At least with Anton's partners, I have eyes for only his lovely graceful dancing

ppeatfruit · 19/12/2012 12:47

I heart Karen Hardy now!! I liked 'the history bit' last night (apart from the way the feet weren't shown ALL the time)! and she was surprised that Danni and Artem didn't get all 10s for their AT Xmas Grin

Still Danni to win!!!!!

Oh was it Adeste who asked if anyone listens to the commentary ? Well I DID last weekend and had to turn it off! Karen was 'of course' fine but she was with that big blonde cricketer bloke who was a total shxx and spoke total shxx!! Poor Karen had to keep telling him off Xmas Shock

OodKingWenceslas · 19/12/2012 12:59

I could have Vincent. Am only 5ft. And he's lovely. shame I'd be the joke contestant though

ppeatfruit · 19/12/2012 13:03

Vincent not Artem!!!!! Silly myyy Xmas Grin

digerd · 19/12/2012 13:05

I did notice Vincent's peachy bum, and at your height in flat shoes, your hands would be right there for a cheeky squeeze

OodKingWenceslas · 19/12/2012 13:15

Grin I went to watch V & F a few years ago and at the end they sat on the next table to us to do autographs and chat to people . At quiet times he kept chatting to my kids. He was lovely

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 19/12/2012 13:17

Lots of Vincent love here too. He makes me genuinely laugh much more than any of the others, and doesn't seem to have a 'side' to him at all.

Going back a bit, I absolutely loved Pascha's freestyle jazz dancing on ITT last week. he looked totally in the zone grooving to 'Fever' and it was such a treat to see one of those talented, highly trained dancers doing his own thing for the pure pleasure of it.

Biscuitsandtinsel · 19/12/2012 13:19

ppeat wasn't it Robbie savage on Saturday on the red button? He is (was) a footballer not a cricketer. The rest of your description of him was probably fair though Grin. I would like to listen to the red button commentary for a second watch through - shame it's not available as an option on the iplayer. I do like Karen, although some of her companions have been dubious choices. Not sure I could sit through Anne Widdecombe going 'well, when Anton and I danced we found it much better if the lady doesn't actually do anything - these girls have it all wrong trying to do actual dance steps' HmmGrin

Biscuitsandtinsel · 19/12/2012 13:20

Which day was Pascha's dancing on ITT? I've given up on ITT as a general rule but would love to see that Smile

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 19/12/2012 13:24

Not sure which night, sorry - either Thursday or Friday when they were previewing the dances. Was a short and sweet clip - the best ones always are!

Biscuitsandtinsel · 19/12/2012 13:27

Brilliant - thanks. Will check the iplayer Smile

AdesteFiderer · 19/12/2012 13:31

What on earth? Karen Hardy doing the commentary with Anne Widdecombe and Robbie Savage Shock Why ffs?

Biscuitsandtinsel · 19/12/2012 13:33

For their unparalleled knowledge of dancing of course HmmConfusedGrin

Some of the quest presenters I wouldn't have minded. Did Miranda Hart do it one week? I may have made that up. But some people like her or Marion Keyes would be fab to listen to.

Biscuitsandtinsel · 19/12/2012 13:36

Quest? I think I meant 'other' or 'past' or something Blush

OodKingWenceslas · 19/12/2012 13:38

Anton commentated the other week with Nancy Hmm

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 19/12/2012 13:48

Would LOVE Marian Keyes to do the commentary. Except that I don't get the red button.

Robbie Savage is a tit.

That's all.

ScatterGotStuckUpTheChimney · 19/12/2012 14:14

It's Mark Ramprakash this week, so will hopefully be good. I listen depending on whether I like the guest or not. I think doing it with the last eliminated pro might be better actually.

I can't say I ever 'got' Artem or Robin. Pasha I quite like based on his looks, he seems a sweetheart but I still miss Matt, Ian and Darren Sad

I think series 4/5/6 were probably my favourites

ppeatfruit · 19/12/2012 14:51

Bicuits you are no doubt right about the lout who was 'commenting' on sat. he seemed more suited to commenting about football too Xmas Grin! I didn't get his name at the time and have you guessed I'm not into football. Except sometimes in the world cup!!

That is hilarious about Anne Widdecombe's brilliant dance expertise!!!

Biscuitsandtinsel · 19/12/2012 15:21

I believe he does commentate on football on radio 5 ppeat and was known as a bit of ruff'un Grin

Ramps would be good I think.

And yyyyyyyyy to missing Matt, Ian and Darren. And Lilia come to that. Pasha seems really sweet. And I like Vincent. Artem looks broody and moody. I liked Camilla too but Natalie is good too (and must have been a replacement for Camilla. I think it would be too stressful to watch a show with TWO super tall gorgeous blondes! Envy
