Agree that Louis has presence, something undefinable that makes some of his performances spine-tingling (DDancing, Tango). While Dani is very good, precise and has progressed more I think, her dances don't wow me even with Vincent's great choreography.

I'm going to watch in iplayer after the school run. I can't wait.

I've read the threads (thanks Pan for this one) and it's really got my curiosity up about the fusion thing. :)

Having been a bit sceptical about the 'fusion' show I thought it was one of the best ever.

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 10/12/2012 09:16

Same here, I thought the fusion was going to be gimmicky and forced but it was really well done and some fabulous routines.

I also agree that Louis has a presence that Dani lacks. Kimberley varies a bit too, in the same way as Louis, some weeks she makes much more of an impression on me than others.

Same with Lisa and Nicky, he may be technically better but he just doesn't hold my attention as he dances, there's no wow. Whereas Lisa is full on and makes you sit up and watch.

Team Nimble Kimble here.

DuBerk would be worse than Bruce. I think Claudia should do it but I luffs her.

Would also get rid of Tess she is drippy and not all that. Sorry but its true.

I love Lisa, but i really do think that her dancing is below the standard of the other dancers. She really should (unless someone messes up hugely) go next week.

DvO looked gutted last night, and James' whine really annoyed me. Everyone else has managed to face the DOs without whining about it, and just say they will go out and try their best!

We should learn on ITT this week who is dancing what on Saturday. I can't remember who has not done what yet. Next year I must remember to write it down. Just going to order my Ginko now !!

Seem to have lost a page - been watching Scott Maslen - I do remember that dance and loved it. Then couldn't tear myself away from all the videos of Matt Baker - he was supreme in every dance, very talented and polished. The best imo. Thanks.

James was a fool to say DVO trained most hours etc. Michael Vaughan was way out in front for most hours put in but he went. Chicago, dance workout video, we're not so green. Xmas Grin

Digerd, I loved Matt Baker too. His backflip off the judges' desk for his Austin Powers based routine sealed my dance crush forever more.

OodKingWenceslas · 10/12/2012 12:38

I liked the Austin Powers one too.

Tess is fine with an auto cue, she's not good in the balcony ad-libbing

Andimac
I was wowed by every video I have seen this morning of Matt Bakers.
He had so much natural talent and appeared well trained too, but wasn't he the farmer??? Ginko ordered today for my memory

Report
OodKingWenceslas · 10/12/2012 13:11

He was gymnastics trained, presenter & farmer!

Report
digerd · 10/12/2012 13:23

Memory better today, must be the sunshine. Didn't know he was gymnastic trained, but knew him from a TV series about the coutryside/farming.

So multi talented and modest.

TheOneWithTheHair · 10/12/2012 13:26

He was a Blue Peter presenter too. He's now on Country File.

Report
digerd · 10/12/2012 13:48

Thought it was Countryfile, but wasn't sure. Don't imagine it appealed to him to follow a showbizz career on the stage, or change to Ballet like Darcy did.
But the man's got oodles of dance talent.

AndiMac · 10/12/2012 14:37

And he was so likeable and modest too. Always relieved and grateful every week he went through.

TheOneWithTheHair · 10/12/2012 14:43

Dd and I love him too which means we watch Country File, Strictly and Antiques Road Show one after the other. Bliss! Xmas Smile

I like Anton so would be happy to see him replace Bruce. DD and I decided that the other presenters need to be Claudia and Miranda Hart. Particularly want Claudia back on Takes 2. Get really irritated by Tess, particularly when she thinks she has been funny.

Report
ppeatfruit · 10/12/2012 15:55

Well what a palaver Xmas Grin!! thanks Pan for this anti gossip thread and thanks for the OTHER one too Andi Everything's moving SOOO fast I can't keep up.

IMO Anton only needs the sexist, homophobic attitude to be Brucie's double!!

I LIKE Zoe on TT2 she's fun and has no 'side' to her IFYSWIM. Shame she'll be crippled by her shoes in a few years, but hey!

I still want Danni to win but wouldn't be upset if Louis won either.Xmas Grin

I don't mind Tess, she seems a bland good sort and I think you need a bit of that to counteract all the drama. I like Anton as well, don't see why people are so against him - he's funny in a corny way which would suit the show and happy to send himself up. Also an excellent dancer of course. Has Bruce said he definitely retiring? If not they are going to have to tactfully but firmly retire him anyway - it's getting pretty embarassing now.

Yes very true about B.F. frankinsensible

I have to mute him every time he goes to speak. He seems to be getting more bolshy as he gets less coherent - blethering on while people are trying to talk. Oh and that clanger re Nancy Dell'olio (made me laugh tho Xmas Grin)

Frankin
Incoherent, that's the word I was thinking of, or thought it might be his false teeth he couldn't get his tongue round
