Does anyone know if we will get the new series of the Good Wife in the UK?

It usually starts about this time of year but I have not seen any mention of it this year Sad

I'm a few episodes behind but just wondered what others were thinking of the Kalinda storyline and see most of you think it's shite too.
It makes me very uncomfortable as it risks portraying women as enjoying violence and abuse.
Her character was better when she was a loner with a mysterious back story.
She was supposedly terrified of him turning up and now he's here they fight a bit, have an ice cream and threaten each other with weapons. No real development.

bleedingheart - I think we have all hated the Kalinda storyline, as have audiences in America. I would like to believe this week's ep was the end of it although it hasn't really reached a conclusion, except she appears to have decided randomly not to be in thrall to him any more.

So has Kalinda's gf just been stringing her along to get closer to Bishop? Bit odd.

And Bishop - the murderer and drug dealer / crim-with-a-heart-of-gold - 'no drug dealing in the legit businesses'. Hmm yes!

I really like the actor who plays Kalinda's husband but am not feeling the relationship at all, it would work better if he were just an annoying ex.

Totally feeling Cary in the non work clothes Grin

How many other series would make you feel such sympathy for a drug dealer - I admit it I rather like looking at him Wink

Love Diane, love that she is an older lady who is not trying to look 20 but is still very attractive.

Seriously love Eli, how he is so scheming and stressed, then SMILES and pretends to be calm (shaking the houseplant, how funny was that!!)

Am very jealous that Juliana Margulies manages to be so pale and attractive at the same time...im just looking pale and ill (need sunshine!)

Love the judges and their quirks I have been missing that this season, along with a lot of the other regular quirky characters who have not shown up (yet?)

Another good episode I thought. Peter is in it a lot so far this series. Eli just gets better and now we know what Maura Tierney's up to.

Yep, great episode. Nice turn from Amanda Peet - I thought they could have made more of her character. Some proper law stuff and not just melodrama.

Really great episode. Didn't expect Nurse Abi to be such a schemer. Amanda Peet was fab I thought she had a good chemistry with Alicia. I liked Cary too. He is looking rather cute and is having some of the action! Grin

anyone noticed kalindas accent getting more English each week? Is this deliberate or just poor acting? *disclaimer - I haven't watched tjis week's yet.

I agree re Kalinda's English accent. Italian Maura Tierney is supposedly a feminist businesswoman (not sure what) who hired the floor in the building that Lockhart Gardner vacated I think. She then befriended Alicia, funded Peter for about 24 hours , withdrew from funding Peter and is now standing against him for governor. This poses a problem for the Florrick campaign as Alicia apparently confided in her although I have no recollection as to what was said that may pose a threat. Does that help or make sense? Grin

Could I ask - is Alicia back with Peter or not? I am not sure if I've just missed something or if it's just being left very unclear. Where do they all live now? We haven't seen them at home recently have we? Didn't Jackie buy their old house? Did they all move in there?

I got from last week's that Maddie befriended Alicia and at some point decided to use the information to run against Peter, but wasn't sure if she only befriended Alicia for that reason.

But from this week's it seems the planning goes back weeks before that. She was behind the newspaper story against Peter, so absolutely everything about her has been calculating. Is that right? Got a phone call at a crucial point.

Spanish, YES Kalinda's accent is as bad as it always has been, if not actually getting worse. Seriously, get this actress some voice coaching! She couldn't pronounce a hard 'r' if her life depended on it.

I thought Amanda Peet was going to end up working for Louis Canning! Hope he's coming back soon, by the way, and I hope we are going to return to Lamont Bishop's case.

Christina Ricci was specatcularly unfunny. I'm not sure if that was intentional.

I heart Amanda Peet too. I'm glad last week's ep was just to introduce her. Although ... couldn't you picture her ending up with Peter because she obviously isn't interested in him or his world? I could imagine that being quite compelling for him.

Cary's backstory was good - and no bloody Mr Kalinda thank god!

The Maddie revelation was unexpected, I thought she was sincere about having only just decided to get in the race.

Christina Ricci - rubbish 'shocker' jokes, and a character that never really made any sense.
