Just starting a new thread before tonight's elimination, as I'm sure we'll all have something to say about that.

Definitely some chemistry between Natalie and Michael, on both sides I think.

The right decision was reached today. Michael was the weakest dancer, and did not perform as well as Nicky in the dance-off.

Nicky will probably go next week. My guess is that Lisa will be in the dance-off with him.

Denise will go the way of almost all the other judges' pets and reach the final show, before being voted off. See also: Zoe Ball, Emma Bunton.

Michael was very solicitous to Natalie but I don't think there's chemistry, he's just really nice like that.

I would think more likely Kimberley and Nicky in the dance off next week,they've both been there before and there should be enough Lisa fans to keep her safe, also this fusion thingy should give her the chance to do the fun stuff she excels at.

Can't remember how it works in the final show - do they start with four couples? Agree the judges will keep DVO in as long as poss which will sadly probably mean Dani and Vincent go before them and then the public will ensure Louis beats DVO in the end.

Interestingly Lisa is due to start in panto in Portsmouth on December 12th. It looks as though they'll have to use an understudy.

I think Lisa will be out next weekend.

I know Nicky gets a lot of stick on here but from a dance perspective alone I think he is regularly under-marked and has shown a huge improvement week on week. Am surprised the Westlife vote hasn't kept him out of the dance-off.

I love Lisa but I do think her schtick has run its course.

Yes, only 3 measly weeks! So 2 go out in one week and only two left in the final? I had a feeling there were more couples in the final show and they were eliminated as it went along but I'll take your word 'cos I can't remember. My main memory of any strictly final is 2008 when I had spent the whole day laid out with flu but leapt up and danced a jig with ds when Tom Chambers won.

No chance Lisa's going out next week, definitely be Nicky. Even if she's in the dance-off (highly unlikely) the judges wouldn't dare boot her out over Nicky. Not unless they want a posse of big bold beautiful women to come down and dance a quickstep on their heads!

I think the format of the final has got a bit confused over the years due to celeb's dropping out for one reason or another earlier in the series leaving them one short (such as Kelly Brook) so they have had some finals with 3 in and some with 2 iirc.

I would have thought 3 would be better - otherwise that's a lot of show to fill with just one result to announce.

Lisa's all schtick and no carrot you think puffpants? Don't agree - as with Danni she is demonstrating that underneath the technique people have either got it or not and she has got it. Her movements are graceful and rhythmic and she has natural timing. Nicky has not got it but has worked very hard. I thought he was over-marked for that horrible looking tango on saturday.

Lisa hasnt danced well for the past two weeks her tango was poor and this week she just couldnt keep up with Robin, I hate to admit it, but I thought Nicky danced well still dont like the way he never thanks karen tho. It was michaels time to go will miss him and natalie what a fantastic dancer she is, Loved Louis you could see the saint Flavia thinking finally!! he showed emotion and they danced very well, but I really enjoyed Vincent and Danni thought they deserved much higher marks beautiful dress, want one for christmas!

Well I thought the camera work was better esp. for the pros dance which was BRILLANT last night.

Nat. def. has had botox her forehead didn't move at all,I didn't like her hair and her dress looked weirdly one sided as if the dressmaker had forgotten to make both sides . IMO Vaughnie was relieved to go (he didn't seem to up the ante in the dance off almost deliberately?). She's sweet though.

The thing with Nicky and Karen is odd maybe he does have a possessive wife. He did soften his style for the dance off.

The judges were not keen on Danni's dance as the style of it should be romantic, flowing and graceful, and hers was cute and sweet - I thought it suited her and really enjoyed it.

What do we think of the idea of dance style mash-up this week? Any suggestions of good mixes for the couples? I wonder if at least one of the dances or if both have to be styles of dance they haven't done before.

Are referring to the 'Darnce fusion' dahrling? might a load of bollxxxs or it might not depending on the choreographer I s'pose,

Yes, the "darnce fusion" I mean. I forsee both fantastic and funky along with great and terrible dances from this.

Help! Does anyone know the date of the Final?

OK, it goes like this:

Saturday 8th December, Quarter Finals, Dahnce Fusion Mayhem. Nicky goes home
Saturday 15th December, Semi Finals, two dances each, no dance off, Kimberley and Lisa go home
Saturday 22nd December, Finals. Denise goes out first, then Vincent and Flavia perform Argentinian Tango Duel to the Death and Louis wins following the most spectacular Showdance of all time. The mutterings about ovary-voters lasts until Easter.

Does anyone remember the chemistry between Mark Ramprakash and Karen Hardy? I always felt sorry for Mrs Ramprakash who had to watch them sizzle across the dancefloor. The camera cut to her after one of their dances and she looked like she was spitting tacks.

To be fair to Mrs R, the woman who Mark R had actually been having an affair with went to the papers mid way through the series so in her place I'd have had trouble being smiley supportive wife too.

I was thinking about Karen last night. I wonder if she has a touch of Stockholm syndrome. Obviously she hasn't been kidnapped by Nicky, but she has to travel to Ireland to train with him. It's very possible that she trains during the day with him, then he goes off to his family and friends and she goes back to a hotel on her own. In that case for at least four days a week she might not speak to anyone at all except Nicky, which would be quite unbalancing especially if she happens to be an extrovert.
