Steve discovered whatshisface was a lollipop man (whf was trying to keep it secret, making out he had a more important job at t'council) and threatened to tell everyone. So whf kept holding Steve up in his taxi at the lollipop crossing making Steve late for fares etc. So Steve told that silly headmaster that whf had been mean to kids etc. All a bit of silly tit for tat which culminated in that farce last night!

Sky plus has failed and last night's episodes of Corrie have disappeared forever! Can't be bothered to watch on iplayer - could someone just let me know if Carla has gone or not? [hopeful face]. Am guessing that Peter has stayed? Thanks!

Steve gets all the reg holdsworth storylines. The lollipop thing was so immature. He's so boring since he got with boring michelle.

Peter has stayed and Carla gone. Which is a pain seeing as I hate them and wanted to see the back of both of them. I suppose Peter will just squeeze back into the tardis with Ken and Deirdre and Tracey and Amy. Unless he shares the fat with Rob. And where will he work? With Leanne? I don't want them to get back together because it will just set up another mess if Carla comes back etc etc. Also agree about how they were able to set themselves up in the States so easily. It would have be more plausible to go to London or Brighton.
Also what's happened to everyone that works in the cafe? Surely Roy or Hayley have a works rota and who is Fizz replacing?

Yes, and they got a taxi back from the airport! Why would they do that, unless he hired it at the airport when they first got back.

As for Leanne's clothes, about a month ago I tried on and nearly bought the burgundy coat she's started wearing. It actually looked nice and I was very tempted especially as it was 20% off at the time but I preferred it in teal and they didn't have my size in that colour. I'm so glad I didn't buy the burgundy now.

I don't think they set up in the US - they said they had travelled through the Caribbean Islands and spent some time in LA with a friend.

Peter's character is very weird; it goes from being mildly sympathetic to completely evil and sinister.

Leanne is so annoying. And she's become such a bitch. Corrie are always flip reversing characters. Remember how nasty kylie was selling max? And Mary when she kidnapped Norris? And Michelle started off as singer and is now hotshot businesswoman, and Gail used to alright but now she's horrible and meddling. And I wish David would go back to being evil. Don't want him to settle down and have kids.

So do we think Leanne is going to end up back with Peter? I hate it when they repeat the same old scenarios. Gail is horrible at the moment but the Lewis storyline is ridiculous, as someone said upthread Audrey's 'crime' was hardly the same as his scamming.

The Gail storyline creeps me out. Your mums ex is a complete no go area ffs. And Lewis is slimier than diarrhoea. The lengths he's gone to for revenge are vile and not believable. And Gail you stupid bint, do not make gooey eyes at your nearly-stepdad!!!

Where is Audrey? Normally she and Gail are in and out of each other's house all the time. Totally unbelieva, ble story. Am enjoying the Stella and Jason fling tho' they do both deserve a bit 'o' fun. And yesssssssssssssss to Steve beoming Reg Holdsworth - I like the sheer comedy mini-plots in Corrie, like the lollipuddle martyrs - comfort food on cold dark wintry evenings

Mrssalvo I agree. The bits of comedy are genius. Like when Irene flipped when she finds out about jastella (Jason and Stella). I really liked her until she got with that hideously pointless fireman. She's back on form now.

I was one of the D'Artagnan Peter-fanciers but that beard has cured me. I am not warming to trouser-smell Fireman at all.
