Starts next week Grin - I loved the first series, and this time round Peter Capaldi is in it too - now all I have to do is make sure my family and friends know not to phone me on Wednesday nights Grin

Well obviously the lack of replies means I peaked too soon (and got over excited too early) Grin - either that or I am the only person who loves this series (and surely that's not possible?)

So any one else watching tonight?

Ooh, thanks for reminding me, I loved the first series. Have to sky plus it though as DP is out tonight and he likes it too. Hope it's as good as the last series!

Love this show.

YouBrokeMySmoulder · 14/11/2012 22:37

It was great but freddie you bastard. Tuts.

KurriKurri · 14/11/2012 23:05

Oh my heart thudded to the floor when Freddie produced his wife. Poor Bel, but then she had her chance and didn't take it.

I like the new Peter Capaldi character too.

Oooh I forgot it was back on and missed the beginning - what's the relationship between Peter Capaldi and Lix?

Poor Bel. I didn't see that coming, especially after the talk about him writing her letters. Though Freddie still seems into her - there may be trouble ahead...

It was great. :) Need good tv in this cold dark weather.

I heart Freddie. I found Peter capaldi disappointing though.

ppeatfruit · 15/11/2012 10:26

Sorry all I TRIED to get into the last one but it's total pretentious shite Sad because I really wanted to like it but the S.W.s don't know what the hell they're doing IMO Grin

That Romola garai is beautiful but a piece of wood is expressive next to her! IMO

Freddie is cute and he can act too.

VA - DH reckons he was killing her (!) Shock
Maybe removing rings to prevent any evidence???
God. I didn't get that, either

Pancakeflipper · 06/12/2012 23:29

I love Bel's bottom. It's the bestest bottom on TV. Hope it wins a Bafta.

MsInterpret · 06/12/2012 23:32

Yep - Gillenti told him 'she's been talking' and wanted him to 'take care of it'. But he didn't look happy about it I thought, maybe he didn't do it?

Love Freddy. And his wife. And LOVE Anna Chancellor as Lix. Think this series much better than last - more thematic, tho the signals about Lix & Randall having had a child were a bit heavy handed... The word 'child' or 'children' mentioned about four times in 20mins, each time accompanied by a strained look into the distance by one or both of them...!

Maybe he was going to strangle her, the rings would have left marks.

I love this series even more than the last, much more to it and different avenues of intrigue. I hope Rosa is not dead.

wriggletto · 14/12/2012 09:04

Ew, horrible finale last night. I was behind the cushion for half of it.

It's strange - I'm not desperate for a third series but at the same time I feel sad to have left that set-up of people and places and clothes and relationships behind. Anna Chancellor and Peter Capaldi were utterly intriguing, even with the tiny fragment of the relationship we were shown.

StellaNova · 14/12/2012 13:30

Can anyone tell me what was going on there? Why did Freddie go off with the evil henchmen instead of getting a cab back with kiki? What was he trying to achieve? And why did Kiki not reveal where he was before she did? Am confused.

wildfig · 14/12/2012 13:48

I think Freddie was trying to delay the henchmen, to make sure Kiki got into a cab and away before they tried to follow her.

++++++ sorry for possible spoilers ++++++

And I think Kiki didn't reveal his whereabouts because... nope, I can't think of a single reason she wouldn't have told anyone, other than to artificially raise the tension at the end of the episode. Which is a shame, because the script could have achieved exactly the same result by having her tell Bel almost immediately where Freddie was, and police being despatched... only to have him being beaten up in a completely different location.

EtoilesPleinLesYeux · 14/12/2012 18:56

But did Freddie and belle get it together?
