Starts next week Grin - I loved the first series, and this time round Peter Capaldi is in it too - now all I have to do is make sure my family and friends know not to phone me on Wednesday nights Grin

Just caught up - Freddy was outside the bbc studio they must have dumped him there as a warning.

Loved this series thought it was much better than the first. The whole storyline the vice, crime, racial problems in London - are they going to make another? Hopefully with Freddie.

I thought Bel and Freddie did get it together? We saw them getting out of the same cab at work the morning after they'd all been at the Paradis, and at one point that day Bel says 'We haven't talked about last night.'

I love Bel's orange midi skirt and blue silk blouse combo.

I quite fancied Tom Burke too.

I just adore the costumes in this show. I want belles wardrobe and her bottom

I don't know why I'm nitpicking, actually - I really enjoyed this series. Apart from the beating bit. I couldn't watch any of that, which is probably a better indication of how much I'd started to believe in the characters by that point.

Camille and her invisible string of onions et bicyclette vanished - bof! - very conveniently once she realised that Freddie was still in love with Bel. The best thing about Camille was that she didn't turn out to be Lix's long lost French baby.

I wish Bel could be more like Lix. Maybe, if Ben Wishaw gets a better offer from Hollywood Freddie dies, this'll be the life experience that toughens her up, as the Spanish Civil War/the actual war did for Randall and Hector.

I thought the second series was even better than the first. I hope they make another.

Virtuallyarts he looked like he was dumped outside the front of the BBC, not sure how and who by... was hard to watch the finale I agree, spent half of it with my hands over my eyes.

I really hope there is a third series, I have loved this series, I enjoyed the first but this series really took it up a notch!

Brilliant brilliant last episode. Freddy must not die - please. I could spend the whole hour just watching him.

Loved the way they brought all the story lines together with so much tension.

And is Freddie dead? Coz he kind of looked dying, but I'm really hoping not. Do we get a series 3? [hopeful]

But did Freddie and belle get it together?

I think Freddie was trying to delay the henchmen, to make sure Kiki got into a cab and away before they tried to follow her.

++++++ sorry for possible spoilers ++++++

And I think Kiki didn't reveal his whereabouts because... nope, I can't think of a single reason she wouldn't have told anyone, other than to artificially raise the tension at the end of the episode. Which is a shame, because the script could have achieved exactly the same result by having her tell Bel almost immediately where Freddie was, and police being despatched... only to have him being beaten up in a completely different location.

Can anyone tell me what was going on there? Why did Freddie go off with the evil henchmen instead of getting a cab back with kiki? What was he trying to achieve? And why did Kiki not reveal where he was before she did? Am confused.

Ew, horrible finale last night. I was behind the cushion for half of it.

It's strange - I'm not desperate for a third series but at the same time I feel sad to have left that set-up of people and places and clothes and relationships behind. Anna Chancellor and Peter Capaldi were utterly intriguing, even with the tiny fragment of the relationship we were shown.

I love this series even more than the last, much more to it and different avenues of intrigue. I hope Rosa is not dead.

Maybe he was going to strangle her, the rings would have left marks.

Yep - Gillenti told him 'she's been talking' and wanted him to 'take care of it'. But he didn't look happy about it I thought, maybe he didn't do it?

Love Freddy. And his wife. And LOVE Anna Chancellor as Lix. Think this series much better than last - more thematic, tho the signals about Lix & Randall having had a child were a bit heavy handed... The word 'child' or 'children' mentioned about four times in 20mins, each time accompanied by a strained look into the distance by one or both of them...!
