I need to discuss this episode in great detail!! Can someone who has seen it please comment on what you think is the best bit? Also did you think it was very sad?

OP posts:
TwllBach · 23/03/2013 00:21

Me too!

The silence, the car, the running, the nearly being there, the fact that rick caught sight and then brushed it off as a hallucination... Jut amazing.

And that awful tune. What is it? Is it something he used to play penny?

And it's blatantly obvious who set the walkers on fire.

And also, I thought michones pet walkers were supposed to be her boyfriend and someone else? She seemed like she hated them in the flashback st the beginning.

limitedperiodonly · 23/03/2013 08:46

How good was that? Grin Please don't let it go downhill from here.

I think it was a speculum. I thought Michonne's pet walkers were her brothers.

Why does that bloke keep mouthing off?

SPBInDisguise · 23/03/2013 08:56

Oh do you thik rick thought it was a hallucination? I bet you're right. I assumed he just realised there was nothing he could do with the sight he had.
I really think they should have let him have michonne, OK maybe not really but I do think she's the toughest of the lot and she'd have the guvorner eating that scalpel before long.
How did he escape all those walkers? He was completely overrun! Did she just set them on him and then use the time they were busy chasing him to make her escape?

SPBInDisguise · 23/03/2013 08:58

" I assumed he just realised there was nothing he could do with the sight he had."
and I thought that while he'd have helped Andrea if he could have shot a walker from a distance, that he wasn't willing to leap down and get his hands dirty for her. They're that distant now. Of course I could be completely wrong

SPBInDisguise · 23/03/2013 09:00

Were the black couple (or brother and sister or maybe even just friends?) that let Andrea out also part of the group who Carl was keeping locked in the prison? I don't remember them getting to the town, did we see that? Wonder what happened to the rest of their group.

limitedperiodonly · 23/03/2013 09:02

I couldn't work out how Andrea escaped the walkers. To me, it looked like she opened the door and shut herself in with them. I thought she was trying to kill herself at first.

Like a sad person I ran it back a couple of times but I still couldn't see.

limitedperiodonly · 23/03/2013 09:04

Yes. They wanted to stay but Rick expelled them after he'd come back from hallucinating about Lori.

SPBInDisguise · 23/03/2013 09:05

Yes, it all hinged (pun intended) on whether the door opened towards her or awat from her. If towards her, I was saying "open it and hide behind it!" thinking that the walkers would stream through. But when she actually did do it, it looked as though the door opened into the zombies...whether she just took her chances and was lucky I don't know.

limitedperiodonly · 23/03/2013 09:05

Yes, there were others with them at the prison who've gone.

TwllBach · 23/03/2013 09:06

Oh it didn't cross my mind to think that rick would not have helped Andrea! I'm not sure what to think now

Didn't Andrea and Milton find the other four when they were out in the woods and Andrea sent Milton back with them? I'm sure that's what happened.

Apparently, in the comics, Tyrese is a huge character, but I can't remember where I read that - on one of the threads here maybe?

limitedperiodonly · 23/03/2013 09:08

I'd have gone for hiding behind the door. Actually, I'd have stayed in Woodbury. I know the Governor is mad but I'd overlook it. I'd be too scared of being eaten alive.

SPBInDisguise · 23/03/2013 09:08

really don't know how the guv escaped though. He's not even got a lot of experience killing walkers, he's been fairly sheletered from them and have people to do the dirty work

susiedaisy · 23/03/2013 09:09

I think Andrea opened the door wide but hid behind it leaving it wide open but she was behind it, the governor seems to have adjusted to only having one eye pretty quickly, if it was me my balance, driving etc would be all over the place for a while!

SPBInDisguise · 23/03/2013 09:11

oh me too lpo. Yes he's a psycho but he was doing a fairly good job of running the town and he was a fairly benign dictator (unless you disapprove of his heads in jars).
I suppose in reality that's the position the scientist guy is in (why do I struggle so much to remember his name?). he doesn't approve but he knows which side his bread is buttered. Also he seems to feel loyalty to the guvorner. What was he pre zombie world?

susiedaisy · 23/03/2013 09:11

I think Milton will save Andrea, I'm really hoping next weeks episode isn't all about torturing Andrea!

TwllBach · 23/03/2013 09:12

I think for someone like Andrea who was out with the walkers for quite a while, first with rick and then more so with michone, the danger represented by a few walkers sort of becomes mundane. Unless its a massive swarm, she knows she can deal with them and really, they're relatively easy aren't they? They don't run, they don't try and trick you. As log as you don't panic you can dispatch a fair few without breaking a sweat.

It's the human enemies that are dangerous because they try and outsmart you.

SPBInDisguise · 23/03/2013 09:12

I thought that Susie. I have a friend who has no distance vision in one eye but she's always been that way. To adjust so quickly as an adult when you can presumably already drive etc.
That said, it's not like he'd be driving in rush hour and I doubt he was worried about hitting people!

limitedperiodonly · 23/03/2013 09:13

They did find them in the woods. I forgot that. That was when Andrea was making a pet Grin

They're very fragile, the walkers. You can snap off their arms and their jaws. I suppose it's because they're rotting. You'd think the smell would make it more difficult for them to creep up behind people all the time.

SPBInDisguise · 23/03/2013 09:13

I agree Twll, the danger now for those who are used to sticking something through a zombie head is just if they are overrun with sheer numbers.

SPBInDisguise · 23/03/2013 09:15

I wondered...have all the original walkers decomposed now? So are the new ones people who originally survived but have since died? Which presumably is how the thing will run its course. We seem to see less of swarms and swarms of them, that could just be a story line thing of course!

limitedperiodonly · 23/03/2013 09:28

I think that about the eye. I've got a lazy eye and I'm used to it but it would be difficult to adjust to.

If Michonne stabbed me in the eye it would be just my luck that she would get my good one.

susiedaisy · 23/03/2013 18:42

Apparently there's only 2 More episodesConfused

SPBInDisguise · 23/03/2013 18:43
