Ok I'm well behind and only watched a few dances so far. I thought, objectively, DVO's charleston was v good, but she riled me oh so much with the thing she does putting her thumb and finger up like a phone when Tess reads out the number. Don't. Do. That. Ever. I don't care if you can move your head like your neck is detached.

Also, dvo and Kimbo's dresses look mighty similar just in different colours . How embarrassing to turn up and have someone wearing the same thing . And I was going to wear my dress like that tonight - so glad I didn't....

Can't stand the egostistical big head DVO. Hope she does not win this.

Still playing catch up here. What was the point of the massive train bit on Kimberley's dress? I could hardly see it because they did the lights on it iyswim. So I could see the bit closest to her and then it was gone. But my other thing with her dance was the shirt opening but. Because they'd mentioned it in the vt, you were sort of expecting that but but she managed to make it look like a wardrobe malfunction rather than any sort of statement or punctuation to the piece.

On the whole the VTs were actually mainly about the training - I approve of this

Oh and I thought Bruce's interview with Richard was a bit odd? He seemed to say some really odd things to him

Well I haven't seen it because I was watching dd in an awards evening but I have caught up with the thread so I don't need to see it now.

Maybe this is how Bruce will finally go, by just making some ridiculous comment that causes a furore, like the whole Anton / Laila hulabaloo?

I actually thought the "You're the only one laughing" comment was the only moment I've seen a bit of spark and life in Bruce. It was off the cuff, it was well-timed and it was pretty funny, because no one was laughing.

The problem with the music comes from the BBC, not the dancers. From what I understand, the Producers out together a list of songs that can be used during the series for each style of dance and the dancers have to choose from the list. The daft thing is they seem to pick a song and then try to arrange it to fit the dance, rather than the other way round - the Paso to Queen as a prime example!

It is possible to find "modern" music that fits with the style/beat count for each style of dance. Harry and Aliona's Cha Cha Cha to "Moves Like Jagger" and Colin and Erin's Paso to "Thriller" are good examples.

Tango, however, should only be danced to proper Tango music

Ah - I was only half listening watching that bit - I hadn't spotted that maybe no one else was laughing . I did overall think he said some odd things to RA though - just weird things that came across strangely as if he really didn't like him and normally Bruce is 'on their sid sort of thing.

I Liked Wembley better this year and last but the camera angles were a bit pants did they want us to feel a part of the audience and see them like ants.

I loved Michael and Kristina she has really worked hard with him and he has come on so well he is great at ballroom , love the munchkins as usual I want them to win they look like they are having a blast kimberley and pasha hmm I dunno they should be better the moves are their but their is something missing .

and did the Richard Arnold interview go on for hours god it was so cringy I was for them why did he show his arse to Darcy what was that all about it all just went to soo wrong

very annoyign at the bieggnign with bruce going on Nice to see you.. i don normally catchthe beginning so dont know if it is liek this everyweek. i would not be smiling at him

As an overview and after reading all you lot on here;-

The music was very variable some was crap (they totally effed up the introduction Boogey woogey Bugle boy; the dance was not long enough and the girl chorus\singers were very weak or was it a technical hitch?) It was in Wembley arena FGS they should be used to balancing the sound there!!

Bruce was a bit better timed (I reckon they'd injected some monkey glands in his bum or something) he's a homophobe IMO hence the nasty comments to Richard HE MUST GO)

Why was Tess's dress designed for letches (boobs exposed on a tray neckline ) if she doesn't like being letched over esp. by Forsyth?

Of course DVO's dance was good she 's a pro IMO (James' choreography was esp. good) but what did she look like ? not Cleopatra that's for sure!!

but he has Bruno and Craig on the judges panel they sometimes ogle men well artems pecs (oh how i miss artem) and are over the top with gayness he doesn't say anything to them I don't think he is a homphobe although the interview was odd, maybe the men in teenty tiny shorts was a step to far for bruce ?
