Go rick go!!!!!

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 23:14

yes that's right roller, but also if you're bitten (even if the bite isn't good enough to kill).

Love the way rick has set himself up as semi-benign dictator. Felt so sorry for Lori. Good for Carole - I'd never have had the guts to do what she did.

A few questions...how is Beth the ultimate drip still alive? Didn't TJ die early on (obviously not, but ykwim!). And am I being really thick to have got this far and realised that in all the episodes in all the series, none of them have ever mentioned zombies?!

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 23:15

And why does neither parent ever hug or kiss Carl? Poor child.

Bongaloo · 26/10/2012 23:16

OMG was that David Morrissey I just saw in the trailer for next weeks?!
It just gets better and better.

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 23:17

Who is he? Was he in Men Behaving Badly? [hwink]

susiedaisy · 26/10/2012 23:19

I know Beth wouldn't last two mins In Reality would she.

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 23:19

oh and the main prisoner guy killed the other one who'd been zombified with a pickaxe. Fine, but until you know better wouldn't you be very wary of getting infected blood and guts all over you? And yet he was splattered,

susiedaisy · 26/10/2012 23:20

Nooo that's Neil morrissey Grin

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 23:20

Well no, and my comment was quite mean given what happened in the last series. But she just comes across as so pathetic. She needs a damn good story line where she saves a few lives and realises she can do it.

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 23:21

Why did carole have to tell glen she was going to hook a zombie?

Bongaloo · 26/10/2012 23:23

No no no
not Bob the Builder!

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 23:24

and, being totally practical, it's wonderful that herschel is alive but what the hell are they going to do?! I suppose if there's a medical bit there might be a wheelchair?

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 23:25

ZOG the zombie can we bite it ZOG the zombie YES WE CAN

Seriosuly, they never say the z word and it's taken me this long to figure that out

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 23:26

ZOG the zombie can we munch it ZOG the zombie munch munch munch

I think a large glass of wine on very little food has gone to my head

susiedaisy · 26/10/2012 23:27

GrinGrin

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 26/10/2012 23:30

so go on then, who's david morrisey
and there was a lack of governor in this one. I like her.

susiedaisy · 26/10/2012 23:33

I don't actually know what David morrissey has been in before but I've seen his face, but I'm guessing that Andrea and her companion come across him first before rick

Bongaloo · 26/10/2012 23:41

you might recognise him if you saw him

Mostly British TV dramas
good ones.

ISeeDeadFairies · 26/10/2012 23:45

David morrissey plays the govenor.

Blood splatter doesn't matter as they all carry the infection anyway. The bites kill because they won't heal.

wintera · 27/10/2012 06:46

I love's me some David Morrissey!

He's been in loads and loads of stuff. He's a scouser but I bet he doesn't sound scouse in The Walking dead! Imagine that? Would be quite amusing though. I love how quality dramas in the US cast British actors, makes me quite proud actually.

Anyway, David Morrissey was in Our mutual friend, Blackpool, the BBC's Sense and sensibility, Captain Correlli's mandolin, One Summer, he played Gordon Brown in The deal, starred with Jon Simm in the original State of Play which was fab! He was also in that Christmas Doctor Who were there was another Doctor. He's also directed stuff for Uk tv too.

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 27/10/2012 07:01

I thought the governor was the woman??

I know blood splatter doesn't matter, but you'd assume it would until told otherwise wouldn't you? And yet main prisoner guy went right in there getting zombie blood all over his face and mouth

Afraid I don't recognise that guy at all, thanks for the link though :o

Elsqueak · 27/10/2012 07:52

Yes, if you didn't know how people became zombies you would surely be hesitant about ingesting their innards/blood by accident.
Plus wouldn't it have the most heinous smell, them being dead and all?
Urgh...feel a bit queasy.

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead · 27/10/2012 08:48

And now I can ask you all Grin
Why are there no pregnant zombies for Carole to practice on??

I watched it at my mums, then spent ages explaining to her that its not fiction, it could happen, and isnt too different to rabies. Taking it too seriously again...

DH started watching series 1 with me and didnt enjoy it. Seeing how much I am enjoying s3, he is giving it another go and hoping to catch up asap :)

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead · 27/10/2012 09:00

Plus, surely you'd want to stay as far away from the way too mobile dead bodies anyway, cause of the six million other diseases they'll be passing around, never mind the zombieness!

...wow, actually on googling it, all a dead body has the potential to give you assuming they havent contaminated the water is a disease the person had (hepatitis and tb seem the most popular concern)

In other news, it would be very warm, rotting bodies are exothermic Grin

NoHank · 27/10/2012 09:46

Loved it again. Season 3 going great so far as far as I am concerned. Rick was (as my DS would say) awesome. And slightly terrifying. Carol has come on leaps and bounds.

Still not feeling any kind of anything for Lori though. Carl went off wandering around a zombie infested prison for god knows how long and she only realised when he got back? It's not as if he got lost in a crowd - there are only a handful of them standing around in a locked prison cell and they still didn't notice the little guy disappearing or hear the cell doors being opened.

Plus knowing what they know, would you really try mouth to mouth on someone who had just died after being bitten? And that whole chat with Rick, pretty much telling him to kill anyone who gets in their way. Yes, she is still annoying me.

One thing I have been thinking about re the number of walkers is why are there so many? I'll try and explain! The walkers want to eat living flesh so when they get a grip of you they won't be letting go until there is not much left of you. So wouldn't that mean that most of those caught by walkers wouldn't be turned because there wouldn't be enough left of them? So are most of the walkers the ones that were initially infected months ago and if so wouldn't they have decomposed more by now?
