And so it continues.......

Agree Frankel. Also surprised to see Sid go so early after he seemed to do so well in the first week.

In fact, I agree with much on here. I don't like the themed shows - I think they're very limiting. A Charleston to Witch Doctor? Really not.

Also, too much variety too soon and they definitely shouldn't be doing Argentine Tango, Charleston, the more difficult dances so soon.

Grump grump grump.

RedZombie · 28/10/2012 20:42

Frankel - that's a genius idea (the wildcard). ME ME ME with Artem

Colin's routine was poor, it was all about Christina. They usually only do that sort of showy off stuff when their partner is a bit rubbish, so maybe Colin wasn't getting it this week? Sid was much better than him in the DO.

I was a bit worried for Fern Artem . She needs a lot more dances with Artem wearing leather trousers that show off her talents and Artem's chest

pigsinmud · 28/10/2012 20:45

Were Lisa & Robin in the show tonight? I can not remember their names being called out....neither can ds2 [hconfused]

PuffPants · 28/10/2012 20:50

Yes, they were there Grin

pigsinmud · 28/10/2012 20:59

Oh, Obviously we both blanked that moment!

AmIthatScary · 28/10/2012 21:04

I always check digital spy on a Saturday night, as weirdly I enjoy it much more when I know who is going.

Very pleased that Pasha mainly and Kimberley are still in.

I like Colin, but I inexplicably detest Kristina. I went off her last year when she was with Jason, and acted like she was the celeb, not the professional dancer.

Even on the results show, she was hiding her face and acting all worried, when really she should have been straightbacked with a smile on her face. And the dances are all about her IMVHO.

I think it was the right result though. I'm warming to Michael as well Grin

2rebecca · 28/10/2012 22:26

Glad Sid has gone, he was stiff and miserable. Ola was the only one really doing any dance stops in tonight's routine. Colin was wooden as well though.

gettingeasier · 29/10/2012 04:47

sadly agree the series isnt gripping me at all and I havent sided with any couple. There does seem to be a lack of chemistry between any of them and the best dancers arent very likeable this year

Hopefully we can just stick to dancing now halloween is over

AndDIEMacDuff · 29/10/2012 06:52

I haven't decided on a favourite yet, although I was so impressed with Michael Vaughn coming back from two weeks of terrible dancing to do a really decent quickstep. Before he had started, I had nudged DH and said, "Watch this, he's going to be awful" but he wasn't at all! He's still going to go in the next couple of weeks, but it's good to see an improvement.
I usually love Halloween week, but not much of it thrilled me (see what I did there?) I agree with whoever said that the usually great band and singers murdered Billy Idol's White Wedding. And as much as I enjoy the performance, I still want to see their footwork. Stop doing a close up of everyone's face in mid-dance!
More chesty Artem and let's see some of Pascha's as well!

plus3 · 29/10/2012 08:00

Thought the right couple went last night - glad it wasn't Fern & Artem in the bottom 2 I fear for them when they are...fern definitely needs to put more into her performance otherwise no more Artem (sobs)
I do like Louis & Flavia though. Think they will win. Agree with too many different dances being done too early. Didn't it used to be the first weeks were either the Cha Cha Cha or foxtrot?

Animation · 29/10/2012 08:19

I thought Colin's dancing was pretty rubbish in that dance off. I made myself not be distracted by Kristina throwing herself all over the place - and he really was bad! Very glad Len said what he said at the end there - that he would have saved Sid.

Sparklingbroomstick · 29/10/2012 08:26

I am so disappointed that this series isn't holding my interest at all. I will be Sky plussing next week and zipping through. Sad

AndDIEMacDuff · 29/10/2012 08:26

Yeah, Colin is swoon-worthy and I was cheering for him at first, but after two weeks of weak dancing, I'm not so keen now. I know he had a tough schedule, flying 8 time zones over to Vancouver a couple of weeks ago, but still, he seemed to be sleeping through the dance last night, only really getting used to throw Kristina about.

PuffPants · 29/10/2012 08:38

Before the dance-off I was sure Sid would go, afterwards I thought Colin was for the chop. Both poor dancers but I thought Sid was trying really hard and gave it more energy. Colin was mostly just stomping around watching Cristina Confused

ppeatfruit · 29/10/2012 08:39

frankel That's a brilliant idea about the judging they should try it.
This may not be a P.C. thing to say but I reckon CRH fancies Colin (who doesn't [hgrin]) 'cos he did seem wooden last night but so did the little E.E chappie!!

BUT the prog. is getting a bit boringly OTT IMO a little OTT is fine but ALL the time!!! [hshock]

Mrsjay · 29/10/2012 08:39

. I will be Sky plussing next week and zipping through

I always sky plus it and zip through it you can watch it in half an hour there is some of them who just bore me to tears ,

I knew the sunday show wasn't live but I am a but meh to read that none of it seems live there isn't any need for a sunday show they could do an after the news or 'something' results show, I felt sorry for sid and ola he should have danced with his replacement partner for this week imo

Sparklingbroomstick · 29/10/2012 08:42

It Sad Mrsj as watching it while commenting on the thread used to be so much fun. Just look at how few posts there were yesterday about the dance off programme. It's a sign. We are bored. Sad

Sparklingbroomstick · 29/10/2012 08:42

It's a shame that was mean to start

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 29/10/2012 08:47

I prefer the results show to be on a Sunday so the DCs can watch it, it would be too late for them at 9.30 on a Saturday. I resist the urge to check the spoilers so I can watch it "live" with them.

Definitely a lack of chemistry anywhere, though I think it could develop with Louis and Flavia.

Mrsjay · 29/10/2012 08:47

It is usually really good by this point even lisa and robin who i like bored me. I only like Dani and Lisa this year and colin for the swoon factor Richard Arnold is quite funny but meh , I have stopped watching x factor this year maybe next year i will be strictly then whaT will we watch Hmm

Mrsjay · 29/10/2012 08:48

i SUPPOSE IF kids watch it then 9 30 is too late I didnt know there was spoilers till yesterday I feel cheated Sad

Sparklingbroomstick · 29/10/2012 08:50

When does the Jungle start? Grin

Mrsjay · 29/10/2012 08:51

When does the Jungle start?

oh next week or the week after usualy the first week in november isn't it there is something i love Grin

ppeatfruit · 29/10/2012 08:52

Yup sparkling you're right I'm bored for sure; which is annoying 'cos I really only got into SCD when Ola and that gorgeous guy from the group won last time.

Sparklingbroomstick · 29/10/2012 08:54

Yay Mrsj. I haven't heard a peep about who is on it have you? I watch it for Ant and Dec mainly-very funny. Grin
