And so it continues.......

I read that about him too WhoKnows.
Apparently he got into gymnastics because his Mum was worried he was going to get into trouble and end up in prison so she took him to a gym club so that his energies could be harnessed in a positive way and he never looked back.
I think that unlike a lot of good looking, young, fit chapss his age, he doesn't have the swagger that often goes with it - he's quite a shy, reserved-type of person and it must take a lot of courage to get out there and dance every week.
He's improving though and tonight you could tell that he's coming out of his shell a bit more. Bless. (I'm not related to him in any way!).
I agree that the filmed bits between the dances are just annoying now.
I, unlike many, can cope with Brucie but the silly spooky bits tonight were just embarrassing.
Show them rehearsing by all means, but cut the daft rubbish and the set up bits.
I have no issue with DVO either other than she has the thinnest legs I've ever seen on a grown woman.
It's not as if they win £1,000,000 and a yacht if they win - they just get a silly glitter-ball-thingy.
It needs a mix of abilities to make it more interesting viewing.

I seem to be in the minority - I loved it and am loving the whole series! I know the VTs are a bit silly but it is a family show and my DS (aged 8) loves them. I love DVO, Dani, Kimberley & Louis. DVO seems to be getting a really hard time, it's not her fault she's had some training but so have Kimberley, Dani & Lisa and no one goes on about them. It's not like she's committed a crime! Can't wait for next week Smile.

OoooOoooOoood · 28/10/2012 08:03

DvO doesn't come across as very likeable either think that's not helping her here.

I quite like Louis. He's more personality than Gavin Henson did a few years ago!

Sparklingbroomstick · 28/10/2012 08:08

I still don't know why I can't warm to DVO. I think she seems insincere but I have never met her and she's done nothing to me so it's a bit Confused. Lee Mead is lovely (well he seems to be) and he obviously thinks she's ok. Grin

ppeatfruit · 28/10/2012 08:48

Agree there's far too much stupid not dancing stuff. DVO is verry false IMO. Tess was showing too much of her fake tits (anyone notice I don't like fakeness [hgrin]) but she does seem quite nice.

CRH was marking meanly (i like it when darcey looks at him in shock when he does that) I luuurve her she marks fairly and has positive things to say even if the dance has been shxx!!

Digital spy have the result up.

Sparklingbroomstick · 28/10/2012 10:08

I have looked. Blush

ppeatfruit · 28/10/2012 10:16

Could you have foretold it Sparkling?

cocolepew · 28/10/2012 10:16

I hate it when Darcy tells Craig he's wrong, she's a ballet dancer, there must be lots she doesn't know. Then, bizarrely, she usually gives the same mark as him anyway Confused.

Craigs my favourite Grin

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 28/10/2012 10:23

I must admit I hadn't really thought about the "fun" bits being liked by children, my two (6 and 8) don't seem interested in them at all, they only really pay attention to the dances and the scores. A bit like me.

I can't warm to Denise either, I've always found her irritating going right back to Big Breakfast days. It doesn't help that she's with James, he makes my skin crawl. Dani, Kimberley and Nicky leave me cold, probably because I don't rerally know anything about them, all the rest I feel I know to some extent, which does help. Richard is irritating in his normal TV guise but I like Erin, so want them to stay.

ppeatfruit · 28/10/2012 10:35

I reckon that Darcey has genned up on the dances you can always learn can't you cocole ( As you know Darcey's my fave then comes Bruno who's lots of fun then whatisname the old ballroom dancer man and then CRH) .

The problem for me is that they start with too many slebs, it just goes on forever. I get bored towards the end.

Last night i liked Michael, Louis, Kimberley and Fern Artem
Bit meh, Lisa, dani, DVO and Nicky, Victoria
Bit rubbish Sid and Richard.

I predict either Richard or Sid for the chop.

ppeatfruit · 28/10/2012 10:59

Yes agree redzombie If they didn't put in all that silly non dancing stuff it wouldn't go on for so long [hgrin]

iklboo · 28/10/2012 11:37

I know who goes too. I read it by drunken accident last night. I haven't told anyone though & will be practising a suitable 'face' for the result.

MaryZcary · 28/10/2012 11:52

What's annoying me is the marking. If there are 12 celebrities, say, then surely the judges should be able to rank them. So they shouldn't have to give 6, 7 or 8 to every one. They judges presumably watch the dress rehearsal so should have some idea of the difficulty of the routine, and we should be given a "difficulty rating" for the dance so that the actual dancing is marked, not the costumes or the music or the acting.

The judges surely should be giving some 3s and 4s.

And it's far too early for 9s and 10s imo.

The leader board is so close it is just silly. Better just to go on public vote if they aren't going to mark properly.

ppeatfruit · 28/10/2012 12:00

Mary I don't know enough about the marking to comment; do the phone votes get the final say? If that's the case then the judges are wasting their time anyway aren't they?

Fiderer · 28/10/2012 12:25

The voting used to be 50/50 judges and public, assume it still is.

The judges' marks are sometimes arbitrary but I guess the public's are even more so.

I'd more technical dance information. And comments about the choreography - makes a huge difference, surely? The marks the judges give reflect more than how the celeb did in that dance, also the choreography, the difficulty, the inclusion or exclusion of certain steps.

Anyone more knowledgeable to tell me how the marks are (supposed to be) arrived at?

ppeatfruit · 28/10/2012 12:59

I'm not more knowledgeableFiderer They do give some more information on the daily progs. but some of the experts are so odd I can't concentrate well. That's one of the reasons I like it when Darcey and sometimes the other judges give actual advice about the dancing.

OoooOoooOoood · 28/10/2012 13:04

The votes are v close this year but I feel the contestants are closer in ability than previous years.

RedZombie · 28/10/2012 13:48

I don't think the judges watch the dress rehearsal, even so it would t be fair to take that into account.

CRH saId on ITT that he always starts with a 10 and deducts marks if they do something wrong. Not sure what the others do.

Sparklingbroomstick · 28/10/2012 13:56

ppeat probably. Not much of a Shock TBH.

kiwibella · 28/10/2012 15:07

right...
Whereabouts on DS can you find the results? I'll be looking thru the forums for hours :)
