Is anyone else watching this? This week we had a nice gratuitous shirt off scene for Erik and Bill and one of the best insults I've ever heard..

That was such a great opening scene.

Almost shagging a hot werewolf guy, then puking on him at the last minute = Blush
Doing the above while not realising two of your exes are watching = BlushBlushBlush

BoulevardOfBrokenSleep · 21/10/2012 21:52

DH and I loved:

Bill: Well, you know what they say about gentlemen...
Eric:
Bill: ...they don't brag about sloppy seconds.

We had to pause it while we went Shock Grin Nooo!!! ...do Americans really say 'sloppy seconds'?

IdaBlankenship · 21/10/2012 21:56

Yes, that one made me laugh too - I am enjoying the Bill/Erik double act

susiedaisy · 23/10/2012 12:15

"That's my sister you fairy fuckers" Grin

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 23/10/2012 13:50

I do like the series, but its drifted so far away from the books that it does my head in a little!
I have to try very hard to enjoy them both independently.

FrothyOM · 23/10/2012 16:04

anyone know when season 4 is on channel 4? (i haven't got fx)

IdaBlankenship · 23/10/2012 21:07

I haven't watched this weeks ep yet as DH is away and I promised not to til he gets back... did I miss much?
SaggyOld - I'm glad I haven't read the books as I think I would have the same problem. I get all invested in characters them get cross when people change them.

GsyPotatoPieEyed · 24/10/2012 00:59

ida, Yes it's a good one. I've only just watched last weeks episode too so have had a double Bill this evening.

Originally I would have agreed with getting annoyed when they change the characters for TV but I actually enjoy that about TB. I think partly because they said from day one that's what they were going to do.

I enjoy the books, I havn't read the latest yet as have been saving it for the winter. I'll have to skim the others again first though so I can remember what's happening in the Book Sookiverse.

IdaBlankenship · 24/10/2012 11:56

Double Bill - nice TB pun Grin . Are the books as funny as the series?

OP posts:
GsyPotatoPieEyed · 24/10/2012 20:21

It's a while since I,ve read them. From what I recall they are fairly humorous but not in the same league as the TV series for one liners, LOL's etc. I would definitely recommend them though.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 24/10/2012 21:13

The books are just better. The series is more about nakedness and one liners.

IdaBlankenship · 24/10/2012 22:05

You say it like that's a bad thing Saggy Wink

OP posts:
SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 24/10/2012 23:31

Well obviously not!
But the books IMO have a little more actual depth and story to them! And Quinn

IdaBlankenship · 27/10/2012 20:37

I finally got to watch it! I have to admit I'm very disinterested in the Sam / shifter subplot and the Terry / fire demon subplot, but other bits are shaping up nicely. When Sookie realised Erik had glamoured Alcide made me chuckle, and the "fairy fuckers" line mentioned by SusieDaisy.
The other highlight has to be the scene between Lafayette and his mother, though I'm glad they didn't show the Jesus bit again as the sewn up lips were creepy.

OP posts:
susiedaisy · 28/10/2012 08:59

I agree the Terry plot and the Sam one are boring the pants off of me tbh and Hoite (sp?) Jessica's ex definitely needs to change that ridiculous outfit he's wearing in the vamp club!

IdaBlankenship · 28/10/2012 16:12

Yes - the purple vest and tie combo with the eyeliner is not the sexiest look, he should stick with the rugged workman look - it works for Jason!

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/10/2012 21:59

Finally watched

Only a week behind lol

Agree fire story is getting boring

But wasn't russel fab at the end :)

Slatternismymiddlename · 31/10/2012 20:11

As said above the Bill and Erik double act is hilarious and they work brilliantly sparking off each other.

Normally I'm all for a bit of naked flesh (especially if Erik's or Alcide's), but thought that the full frontal of Lilleth was a bit much.

Elsqueak · 01/11/2012 08:28

Godrick returns! I liked him. So sad when he walked into the sun.

Yeah, full frontal Lilith...nice that she stopped off at the beauticians for a little lady garden trim...Grin

And all this Alcide with his top off is getting a bit much...that guy is getting bigger every time we see him...Wink

YYY, love Bill and Eric, (mostly Eric) and the perfume/aftershave ad he's in. Think they should replace the daft Joop one with it!

susiedaisy · 01/11/2012 11:43

I like Godrick as well, I thought Lilleth's nakedness was a bit pointless tbh it detracted from the fact that she's suppose to be worshipped in the vampire world, all I could think was good grief she's got nipples you could hang a coat hanger on, and I bet she'd find breast feeding a breeze!!!Smile

IdaBlankenship · 02/11/2012 20:52

What is it with the pubic topiary - I thought whatever you had when you were turned vampire you stayed with - that would mean daily trimming (although the scriptwriters have conveniently forgotten that detail when they allowed Erik's sexy hair cut to remain - although poor Jessica's hymen had no such luck)

OP posts:
susiedaisy · 02/11/2012 20:57
Grin
Elsqueak · 02/11/2012 21:58

Oo, good point, Ida!

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/11/2012 11:20

Godrick - he was lovely. So sad when he died :(

And yes a bit of waxing wouldn't have gone amiss - far too much lady garden

And Eric is so much cuter with short hair !!!

mosschops30 · 09/11/2012 19:13

Can someone please get me up to speed on episode 7 (last weeks) clashed on the bloody planner.
The last episode i saw was with sookie in the fairy club, and russell killing that guy in HQ
TIA Smile
