No, I'm very glad that Lucy is through even with a not perfect voice. I don't want x-factor to be about having a perfect voice. 99% of records are auto tunes/altered anyway.

I prefer artists to be actual artists, to be different, etc. Lucy has that.

Look at some of the great current bands/artists about - Mumford and Sons, Laura Marling, Jonny Flynn. They're not note perfect but they're a million times better than the likes of Leona Lewis, One Direction, etc.

Look at some of the great artists in the past - David bowie, not the best singer in the world but he was bloody fantastic.

I agree that someone different is good but Lucy is not going to be able to showcase her voice in a way that will keep her in to the end imo. Who knows, maybe she'll prove me wrong?

Reckon the best that Lucy can hope for is that her own material will gain more attention, and she hasn't signed such a restrictive deal with Syco that she ends up making no money. Her voice is fine, in the way that Victoria Wood's voice is fine, their skill is in writing and communicating the content of their songs beautifully.
She doesn't have a big foghorn belt or any of that R&B 'squishing in a million notes rather than just singing the tune' nonsense, so I can't see her doing well on vocal talent alone.

Raaah, I think you'll find they are her trade mark 'spraggers'. When will she wear a dress? Never I'm betting!

I'm really interested to see what Tulisa does with her, song choices will be key.

I don't see the point of her at all tbh. She's an OK singer, plays guitar and sings/writes songs that are mildly comic. From what I've seen it's not funny enough to be comedy and she's not good enough to be a singer.
I'm prepared to be proved wrong if she writes something great, and I'm sure she has the potential to do more but I'm failing to see her 'niche' - if not comedy or pop, what is she?

i have been trying to find out what the song choices are tonight. Apparently songs were leaked early in the week and they were wrong. DickDastardly is meant to be doing 'Gold' by Spandau Ballet- i can see the over emoting already

The tenuous theme is 'Heroes'- Olympic songs. Rumour is one of the acts will be doing 'Rule the world' by Take That. I hope not. It was a very emotional moment at the end of the Olympics when TT appeared and sang that, given Gary's loss. I don't want to see Baby Shits murder it, or anyone else.
