I am beside myself with excitement. here - who's putting the contacts in? Is that Carrie in a disguise? Any one else agog?

They did know it was his flat, they told Saul that they had entered into it and he said they were only supposed to watch him. They mentioned him by name and said it wasn't the flat of an analyst.

Wishing the weekend away again....

Hassled · 09/12/2012 19:45

Homelanders, I have sinned. I googled an episode summary and I shouldn't have. I realised the error of my ways within a paragraph and stopped reading - alas, not in time to stop my heart pounding and to feel a bit sick.

Hassled, it's just so tempting isn't it? It's really hard to get through the weekend waiting for 9pm on a Sunday.

PseudoBadger · 09/12/2012 20:22

Heart pounding with guilt or excitement at what you read?

Hassled · 09/12/2012 20:32

Partly guilt, mostly excitement. In a "I don't think I can bear it" sort of way.

Fade to black!

northender · 09/12/2012 21:59

wtf was that all about?

Hassled · 09/12/2012 22:04

And who, as in what, is Salieri/Adul? Different department - but which? Some sort of military wing - but still, why would they need Quinn?

When Estes told Quinn that Saul knows, what did he mean - that Saul knows there's a secret plan to hush up the drone strike? Or does Estes think Saul knows he's a baddie/one of them?

Black Ops, Hassled

HazeltheMcWitch · 09/12/2012 22:06

I am still of the view/hope that Saul is a goodie, so I think Estes and Quinn are not. They might be on the border of 'sanctioned by Walden/gov.t' but yet highly immoral and wrong?

Hassled · 09/12/2012 22:08

Wiki tells me "The main difference between a black operation and one that is merely clandestine is that a black operation involves a significant degree of deception, to conceal who is behind it or to make it appear that some other entity is responsible".

So that's basically all of Homeland summed up. It's all clear to me now.

HazeltheMcWitch · 09/12/2012 22:14

Indeed. I am nodding sagely as I type this to hide the fact that I have not an iota of clue as to who is on the side of the righteous, and who is allied to Bad Bad Leroy Brown.

besmirchedandbewildered · 09/12/2012 22:47

I think they have sent Quinn and held back Saul so Quinn can kill Carrie and blame Nazir. If Brody is no use to the CIA, she's no use either and she Knows Too Much.

mamaus · 09/12/2012 23:19

Aaaargh!! besmirched I hadn't even thought of that.... But surely they can't kill Carrie, there is another season.
Wow, I felt completely stressed and tense during that episode. Not quite as tense as suicide vest episode from last year, but not far off!
What are they going to do to Saul?? And what in the world is Carrie going back in the warehouse on her own for, she really is crazy!
And, I guess Brody really does love Carrie after all.
