Why isn't the murder trial story the main story? I don't understand why it is taking a back seat.

Will the discovery of the journalist's body mean that Harrison gets away with Lauren's murder? Or will the confession and Jack's evidence "send him down" anyway?

Surely the trial can't just be tomorrow and that is that?

Yep, so many questions. And none of which I have the answer to.
Maybe they can't spin the Harrison storyline out for a whole 20-odd minutes even though they manage to spin other crap out for that length of time.
