I don't think I've been this excited about a new series ever!! It looks amazing, trashy, overblown and ridiculous, I can't wait, literally can't wait for it to start, I love Dallas so much I actually contemplated calling my first child Sly after JR's secretary, it's the best name ever!!! Everyone very relieved when baby was a boy.

I've just seen the trailer which is why I'm hysterical, I'll go and calm down now.........

Why not start the series with a Ewing marrying a Barnes like the original?

As soon as I saw Rebecca I was reminded of Pam (Barnes) Ewing.

So thought-maybe she´s a Barnes.

And thought-no-would they do that again?

But then when it came out that Christopher & Elena should have married-well, maybe not a Barnes-but someone desperate to marry Christopher or just an Ewing?

Did John Ross send the email to Elena on her wedding day to Christopher? Christopher thinks so. Is johnross only with her for his own gain????

I had an idea that she did-which might explain why she wasn´t at Christopher´s wedding!

I'm afraid to google incase I bring up something current. Dh can't remember if pam is still on the go or not.

I´m sure she had a car accident & burns which resulted in her having plastic surgery & being played by a different actress.

So why not have that actress at the wedding-or in it full time?

Ok I have done some careful googling. And you are right, when Victoria principle left, a new actress played pam and her differing appearance was put down to plastic surgery after a car accident. In her final appearance in the series she tells cliff she is happy and plans to marry her doctor. After cliff leaves her doctor asks her why she hadn't told him She has a terminal disease and only a year to live.

So she isn't dead officially, but chances are she is. Perhaps the produces of the new series didn't want to decide if she was dead or alive in the hope they could persuade her to return later on??

Cliff and Aften Cooper had a daughter.

They called her Pamela Rebecca.

I thought it was left unclear as to whether or not Cliff was the father?
