So just watched the season 7 finale and thought I'd start a thread for people who love it as much as me !!

Anyone have any predictions or theories ? Grin

I think dh would like to rename ds2 to give him the middle name "wait for it". I don't know where we are, we are watching it on E4 on Thursday nights.

The 8 and above one is the season 7 finale . I really don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it but I was Shock when I saw the very end !!

Great season finale, already looking forward to the next season. Lily is by far and away my favourite character.

I predict none of the writers really has a plan. they are just going to keep spinning it out for as long as the show can last.

loved the earlier series, but getting a bit fed up with Ted never bloody meeting the mother - does he meet her eventually in this series?

Indith, have you been watching S7? There have been a couple of things that have put deadlines in place for ted to meet the mother.

Spoiler alert if you haven't been watching....

We know that ted will have a baby girl in 2015. So he must meet the mother quite soon. We know that the mother was in the uni class that he taught and that he will meet her at a wedding. Pretty sure that rules out Victoria, as she wasn't a student of his and wasn't the flatmate of Rachel bilsons character.

I am really hoping he meets her next season. Then we can see them getting on and being happy for a bit. I think ted's a bit boring these days.

I'm not an avid fan but don't we already know that she is the flatmate? Wasn't that in a much earlier season.

We already know that she's a flat mate of the girl who is at uni (the one played by Rachel Bilson) and she has a yellow umbrella. He is going to meet her at Barney's wedding but I'm dying to know who Barney is going to marry!

Yep, flatmate thing was ages ago. So was the clue about uni class. The baby is the only spoiler really.

Oh yeah we know it isn't Victoria, student, yellow brolly, blah blah blah but it is getting a bit annoying and Ted is winding me up, especially with the Victoria ending this time.

I actually think Ted has a seriously dysfunctional approach to relationships. He's always going on about this mythical "one" to his current squeeze, as in letting them know if they are not. He's always obsessing about this and as far as I recall from random watching, it appears to have broken up a fair few of his relationships? He's also kind of whiney and needy.

How do you know that ted will meet the mother at Barnes wedding? I must have missed that one! In that case, I think all is going to unfold in season 8 and guess that the last episode of season 8 will be the big reveal of the mother.....

LightTrain it was at the very beginning of season 7 when that was revealed about him meeting the mother at Barney's wedding.

So where am I up to? The last one I watched was Lily having the baby, but i missed half of it, which was on Tuesday and according to my TV guide the last episode is on this Tuesday on E4. I'm Confused as there have been strange goings on with this last series IMO. It started and then stopped again half way through.

An, further investigation has lead me to realise that the new episodes have been on on Thursdays and I've been watching the repeats on Tuesdays! [duh brain]

I've put it on series link just in case I missed one so I imagine the one I've missed will be on - yippee! :o
