First review of the new series here.

More umming and ahhing over whether Mary and Matthew are getting married?! I've decided I can't bear it and will wait until the series is over to get the DVD box set.

Why is Julian dragging it out.

It pains me when they do this. Ok it was good for the first 2 series but why can't we have a happy ever after for them and the Bates.

Start a new will they won't they with a different couple.

AKMD · 25/07/2012 19:34

I found stretching it through the second series a bit much TBH. Eight years since they first met and it's still going on? Bah.

Yeah I know there was a war and its just turned 1920 but still talk about dragging it out.

Bossybritches22 · 25/07/2012 19:44

Squeeeee SO excited don't care if they're dragging it out....I love it!

diddl · 25/07/2012 19:48

Oh please no more of M&M.

Was hoping they´d marry in Ep1 & clear off to America with American Granny.

AKMD · 25/07/2012 20:12

The whole Anna/Bates thing should be cleared up by now too. I'm still scrubbing my eyes from last year!

When's it coming back?????!!!!!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 25/07/2012 22:14

I cannot wait!

ripsishere · 26/07/2012 06:42

Sad and Angry. I won't be in England for this. Looks like I'll have to buy the set when it comes out.
As long as Matthews mother isn't in it too much, I"ll be happy. We watched the Marigold hotel on Tuesday night, she was a proper fucking whiney drip in that too.

AKMD · 26/07/2012 08:37

It's coming out in September. I haven't seen an exact date yet.

OP posts:
OlympicTeaDrinker · 26/07/2012 08:39

Yes its supposed to be late September isn't it.

I can't wait thats only 2 months away Grin

tribpot · 26/07/2012 08:39

Surely it can't be 1920 and M&M still unmarried? It was pretty unbelievable she went so long without marrying Sir Dastardly, and at least he was a villain you din't actually want her to marry.

diddl · 26/07/2012 09:44

I love Isobel.

Wonder if Violet & Cora´s mum will be too much of a comedy duo in this.

I do like Violet, but think she is a bit caricatured & considering her postion, bad mannered.

ppeatfruit · 29/07/2012 14:41

I want it baaaack but if M&M are still not bleedin' married I'll screammmmm and send Jules Fellowes hate mail!! Oh and also the butler with the gammy leg and the maid from off Corrie had better have got it properly together too!!!!!

diddl · 29/07/2012 23:04

Just seen an item in the mailBlush that says that Shirley Maclaine is only in 2 eps!

ppeatfruit · 30/07/2012 10:35

Shirley Maclaine!!???

OlympicTeaDrinker · 30/07/2012 10:55

Oh yes Shirley McClaine plays Cora's mother.

2 episodes though?? It better work well.

I've read lots of speculation about Maggie Smith being a diva (I actually think she should be though Grin) and not working well with Shirley.

Maybe thats why only 2 episodes.

squoosh · 30/07/2012 11:25

Please let them kill Matthew off. Puh-lease.

He's about as sexy as a well used toilet brush. DA had better pull its socks up this series. The second series tested my patience greatly.

It's going to be about the Bright Young Things isn't it? Having a wild old time and creating scandals in the papers.

diddl · 30/07/2012 11:39

Oh yes-M&M marry & he dies-that would be great!

Will we see their wedding or will it have taken place?

When did he propose & when is series 3 set?

My wish is still for the heir to return & marry Edith.

ppeatfruit · 30/07/2012 14:58

Well squoosh I luurve Mathew he's got those gorgeous eyes and i'm a sucker for blonde blokes.

squoosh · 30/07/2012 15:26

I'm sorry for you affliction ppeatfruit Grin

It's not his looks that bother me, although they don't set me alight, it's just that there's no no fire in his belly.

The only thing he's passionate about, as far as I can tell, is having tea with his mother.

OlympicTeaDrinker · 30/07/2012 16:51

a lot of it has to do with the trouble in Ireland I believe.

diddl · 30/07/2012 16:55

So if Sybil visits with her husband-do the staff have to wait on him?

I suppose they would-but surely they wouldn´t expect someone to act as his valet or whatever?

diddl · 30/07/2012 16:55

Maybe he conveniently dies before it has to be thought about?Grin

ppeatfruit · 31/07/2012 10:46

Oh boring trouble in Ireland. See that's where fire in your belly gets you squoosh into trouble Grin
