I managed to miss all of this until last Friday evening. I sat there watching it in the same way that I'd look at a car crash as I drove past - not really wanting
to look but looking anyway. It is really really rubbish tv.

Amanda Holden looked and sounded like a drag act - what's with her deep shouty voice and plastic face? I couldn't work out what Dawn French was doing there. All very odd. I'm surprised SirLW has put his name to it.

Jazz, no we haven't seen them 'act' but JCS doesn't have any actual acting, just singing acting.

Yup, it's shocking tv, but in fairness to the contestants, the standard has been v high.

I agree jazz the production on this has been far too X-factor-ish & not enough about the show/general theatre talent.

Is it me, or is the singing weak and the backing over powering?

I've worked out why she comes across so badly- AH is far too rough & shouty in her announcements. She can't read an autocue for toffee & is much more natural when talking directly to people.
