Poor Alexa. I think her style of management (consensual) was very female and can be percieved as weakness especially in that macho atmosphere. I don't think she was very good but I think she think Tuan (?) should have been fired.

Syed is another Paul from last year - remember him? He'll be in the last four but won't win it.
Hilarious when he was saying not to fire him because'I'm a winner' Sir Alan: 'you're not a winner! You just lost!'

what I hated most and hoped AS would pick up on was the terrible waste of food, they just threw that chicken away..once they realised they had overordered why didn't they have chicken quarters for sale with a dipping sauce or something..no ability to react to the situation

The comparisons were quite interesting - don't think Manni was actually that good a PM - he just got lucky - they chose well foodwise and the girls worked their bllcks off to get the job done. Yes they bitched, but they didn't undermine him. Felt that the men (including Sir A) came across as totally sexist. Love to see how the sales girl (Helen?) would hand the blokes...

I felt that Sayed deliberately put the order in for 100 chickens so he could sabotage Alexa in her role as PM, and it seems to have worked. V amused to see one of DH's rugby buddies as the catering manager at the company that the boys went too, will have to see if he has any gossip re the candidates.

I'm starting to wonder if Sir Alan Sugar's whole career has been an attempt to shrug off the meaning of his surname. Has there ever been a man less sweet? This week he gets the teams to dream up an advertising campaign, film it and edit it in a couple of days, then complains when the results look ropey. What did he expect, Brokeback Mountain? In fact, both teams do a pretty good job, though you'd never know it from Sir Alan Bile. Of course, his operatic grumpiness is part of what makes this programme unmissable. That and the fiendish surprises the production springs on its poor guinea pigs - there's another nasty one tonight. But most of all it's the soap opera of survival played out between the rival candidates, which tonight gets cringe-makingly vicious.
