It's so sad :-(

It's more hard hitting than I expected.

It will be the first time I'll have watched it since becoming a mum. I have tissues...

GwendolineMaryLacey · 17/06/2012 21:55

Yes, watching it while my 2 dds are asleep next to me. Very hard to watch. I've never heard of it before though. Only watching it because someone on here mentioned it earlier.

stookiesackhouse · 17/06/2012 21:57

I have read the book. Not sure I could watch it if I had DCs :-(

MissKeithLemon · 17/06/2012 22:13

I am crying watching it on Ch4. Never heard of it, will have to get the book now.

workshy · 17/06/2012 22:18

I'm watching it, read the book, soaked the pages but then I always have been a soppy sod (the book is actually more hard hitting and gives more of the siblings stories -really good read if you can manage it)

Purplehonesty · 17/06/2012 22:29

Sob!

SPsFanjoHarboursDeadCats · 17/06/2012 22:37

I've braved it and put it on.

It's got right into it straight away

GwendolineMaryLacey · 17/06/2012 22:44

Just downloaded the book... Might need more tissues.

Is it based on a true story?

mynaughtylittlesister · 17/06/2012 23:01

The book has a different ending to the film!

girlylala0807 · 17/06/2012 23:03

That's not the same ending or do I remember the book wrong???

First time I watched it since having dc. Changes perspective totally.

ggirl · 17/06/2012 23:03

Sobbing

GwendolineMaryLacey · 17/06/2012 23:04

I missed the bit when she died. DD2 (5 months) started fidgeting next to me and she settles again if I hold her hand. When I turned back Kate was dead :(

SPsFanjoHarboursDeadCats · 17/06/2012 23:05

I'm only at her talking to judge and I'm nearly crying already.

SPsFanjoHarboursDeadCats · 17/06/2012 23:06

lacey you've just told me what happens. Sad don't think I can finish watching it knowing that happens

GwendolineMaryLacey · 17/06/2012 23:06

Oh sorry :( I'm such a clot, I didn't think.

slartybartfast · 17/06/2012 23:07

pumpkinsweetie · 17/06/2012 23:10

bigredtractor · 17/06/2012 23:11

Just watched it - I wasn't thrilled bit then don't really like Cameron Diaz!

Haven't read the book- how is te ending different?

mynaughtylittlesister · 17/06/2012 23:21

I dont want to give too much away, but you really don't expect what happens to happen - if you get my meaning!

SPsFanjoHarboursDeadCats · 17/06/2012 23:24

I'm an hour in and nearly cried a few times. I'm loving Taylor

stookiesackhouse · 17/06/2012 23:27

I wasn't expecting that ending in the film because I read the book.

I cried small tears throughout most of the film. Very sad :'(

SP I don't think it's based on a true story.
