I can't remember the last time I really got into a programme.

Recently(ISH) DH and I have loved Lost, Niptuck, even OC but I haven't found anything that has captured my imagination for ages Sad

Any ideas?

TIA x

Breaking Bad - it is absolutely brilliant, up there with The Wire and Mad Men, so well written, shocking, funny.... Just fantastic
But it is violent.

The West Wing - if you liked ER you'll like this. It's like getting in a warm bath.

Mintyy · 14/06/2012 22:42

24 hours in A & E. Just about the best television series I have ever seen.

VickityBoo · 14/06/2012 22:43

The only programme I have been really really obsessed with I think ever, was Life on Mars and the sequels.

Fantastic.

Whatevertheweather · 14/06/2012 22:45

Revenge - Mondays on E4 - first series 3 episodes in but you may be able to catch up on 4od. Is fab a bit OC like but darker.

I loved The OC

Bloomin Sky Atlantic buying the rights to Mad Men so us stuck on virgin can't watch it Angry

VodkaKnockers · 14/06/2012 22:49

I LOVED Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes!

Gene Hunt is the best!

VodkaKnockers · 14/06/2012 22:51

Did not like the American re-make however.

Harvey Keitel is not a patch on Philip Genister

VickityBoo · 14/06/2012 22:54

I am still not over Gene Hunt Sad Honestly, I could happily not have a tv but this really pulled me in!

welliesundermeballgoon · 14/06/2012 22:57

Wow- so many to choose from! DH has been watching Game of Thrones (and loved it) however it has been while working away so I haven't seen any of them Sad

Watching with interest - one more episode of Mad Men left to watch before I am bereft and need another box set. Have never watched any other series in my entire life except for sex in the city so need tips urgently (hubby works away now)

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 14/06/2012 23:11

Has nobody mentioned The Walking Dead?

Just me then. Grin

Love it. Scary but brilliant.

Nagoo · 14/06/2012 23:14

I love The Walking Dead.

Did give it the Hmm when they sent Greg down that well though... Couldn't they have caught a pigeon or summat?

LeB0F · 14/06/2012 23:16

Breaking Bad is practically compulsory. And Curb Your Enthusiasm for comedy.

24HourPARDyPerson · 14/06/2012 23:25

Breaking Bad - it's so engrossing and shocking in places. Some horrible violence, which I'm not a fan of,but worth it.

Plus the dad from Malcolm in the middle is the director and main star.

My, how he's changed!

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme · 14/06/2012 23:32

Nagoo it's Glenn not Gregg.

Tut tut.

Nagoo · 14/06/2012 23:36

I should have the subtitles on that one as well then eh? Grin

NonnoMum · 14/06/2012 23:37

Actually - Malcolm in the Middle is the best TV programme of the last 10 years.
Followed by Madmen.
And then Fresh Meat
And Misfits when it's not too weirdy.

runnindownadream · 14/06/2012 23:40

welliesundermeballgoon · 14/06/2012 23:58

The only thing I watch weekly is The Hart of Dixie on Really :) lighthearted and fumny

TanteRose · 15/06/2012 06:06

the United States of Tara - has anyone else seen this? Toni Collette is brilliant in it

Also, Weeds - very funny!

JulieScrumptious · 15/06/2012 06:49

Why has no one mentioned Fringe?!

The best thing I have seen in years, I am totally addicted. If you like the X-Files, Heroes or Lost I think you'll live it.

Plus Joshua Jackson is incredibly hot in it

Whatevertheweather · 15/06/2012 07:09

Joshua Jackson you say......

herethereeverywhere · 15/06/2012 07:11

Dexter, Dexter, Dexter!!!

Best programme ever! Completely brilliant and addictive!

JulieScrumptious · 15/06/2012 12:03

Oh yes, whatever, and all. Grown. Up.

openerofjars · 15/06/2012 12:12

Game of Thrones! Read the first book, got bored, watched the first episode and watched the rest of the box set in four nights (I have an excuse, bfing a hungry baby).

It is quaite rude, though, so don't do what DH did and promise to lend it to your parents before watching it. Grin He now has to think of an excuse not to hand it over to his mum, because obviously DH was the product of immaculate conception and his mum has never so much as seen a man's naked ankle before and must be protected from pervy things on the telly, especially if she knows that DH has also watched them, cringe cringe. Grin Grin Grin (I am just being evil because it's his mum, not mine)

Also, it will make you cry buckets near the end, unless you have a heart of stone.

Also, Sean Bean is God -not literally, can't see that working--.
