Just watched the finale, it was brilliant! Great endings for all and a bit if mystery at the end. It was sad that that was the last time they were together though. If they were that close they surely could have met up? That was the only negative for me.
I'm at a bit of a loss too so will watch for suggestions.

TheFarSide · 10/06/2012 23:40

I am bereft.

Thinking of trying Revenge.

SPsFanjoHarboursDeadCats · 10/06/2012 23:43

I don't know either. I loved watching that. Really wanted to know what was in the box though

mrscumberbatch · 10/06/2012 23:44

If you haven't watched Homelands it is utterly thrilling.

complexo · 10/06/2012 23:46

So do you think Julie got married to her doctor after all?
I am glad Tom let Lynnete get on with her career in New York, probably he became a SAHF.
I expect Lynnete and Susan kept in touch, they share the same granddaughter...
I think Mark's ghost should have gone in the car with Susan and not stayed at Wisteria Lane with the other ghosts.
And I didn't see Nicollete's (Edi) ghost, but after her fight with Marc Cherry it is no surprise.

I am waiting for Suits to come back and also looking for some suggestions.
At least Sex and The City still shows on Sat and Sunday

Showtime · 10/06/2012 23:50

And I'm still waiting for Northern Exposure to come back. not even had one little repeat...

StateofConfusion · 10/06/2012 23:52

Desperate housewives has been in my life forever, I'm at a loss.

Seriously how longs it been running becuase I'm sure its over 7yrs. --remembers watching it with subs so mum wouldn't hear on school nights--

SPsFanjoHarboursDeadCats · 11/06/2012 00:00

state I used to watch it with my mum. We would send boys to bed and dad would bugger off somewhere so we could watch it.

Margerykemp · 11/06/2012 00:01

Downton abbey?

It must be 25 years since there wasn't an American tv series I watched every week.

Got fed up with DH by the end though.

I see susan got the last scene.

StateofConfusion · 11/06/2012 00:48

SPs I'm sure its lasted most of my late teens/early twenties.

Dp said with 'that look' you were obsessed before we met and we've been together 7yrs. Its like almost a third of my life.

SPsFanjoHarboursDeadCats · 11/06/2012 01:05

BBT? I can't watch that as I have a crush on Sheldon due to a strange yet great dream Grin

Makingmama · 11/06/2012 08:18

Oh I know...I'm SO sad about it! I quite liked to way it ended, feel a sense of closure Grin

I watched Homeland and LOVED it!!

Think I'll give Downton Abbey a go first...thanks!

Revenge looks promising though not with the longevity of dh

Makingmama · 11/06/2012 08:33

Is revenge a regular on telly? May have a look, could do with something on tv weekly so I can have a regular slot of losing myself for an hour each time!

scarlettsmummy2 · 11/06/2012 08:33

First two episodes of revenge have been good!

eatyourveg · 11/06/2012 08:35

Apparently Dallas is coming back! (Not my cup of tea but may fill the gap for some)

Downton, Homeland yes or Damien Lewis in The Forsyte Saga. He's meant to be the baddie (sort of) but you can't help but feel sorry for him.

Nancy66 · 11/06/2012 08:53

I tuned in for the last episode but hadn't watched the whole series - how did Mike die?

mynameis · 11/06/2012 09:36

Damn Teri Hatcher I'm sure the series would have carried on if she had upped and left.
Haven't seen the finale yet but know most of what happens.

I'm sure I will be a blubbing mess Sad

boringnamechange · 11/06/2012 09:41

I was so sad it was over - was a good ending but I agree it was so clearly obvious that terri had fell out with the others there was hardly a scene where they were all together for more that 2 minutes. And I'm sure that poker scene was done separately but I'm a cynic Grin

Mayron · 11/06/2012 11:36

Yep 7 years! Started early in 2005, I have very happy memories of being up through the night with DS (as a newborn) and watching videoed (no sky plus then!) episodes at 3am! Loved the whole series and would quite happily watch the it from series 1 again.....

complexo · 11/06/2012 13:30

Mark died on Susan's arms at their doorstep. The loan shark gunned him down. It was very sad and Mark didn't deserved that and nor did Susan. I didn't like it. I really hope they start showing from series 1 again because I just started watching last year. Would you still be a fan if Susan went away with her family to another country and the plot continued on Wisteria Lane...?

Nancy66 · 11/06/2012 13:32

Thanks....but it's Mike isn't it?

vanimal · 11/06/2012 13:38

Was Lynnette's son the father of Susan's grandchild then?

I thought they rushed to the hospital for the birth because Lynette and Susan were friends, did I miss something there?

complexo · 11/06/2012 13:57

One of Lynette's twins is the father but they just had one night stand. Apparently the obstetrician fancied Julie and Susan was trying to set them up... I thought Mike was a good guy, but I just started watching last year...what is the back story??

FrillyMilly · 11/06/2012 14:32

I think they need to start showing it from the beginning again. Loads of those ghosts I couldn't remember what happened to them!! It was very telling that Edie was absent.

I remember watching it in the early hours when up with DD. it was definitely using sky plus though as I haven't had a video player since 2004!
