What can replace Desperate Housewives?!!

Ok so now I need a new program to get addicted to! Any suggestions welcome, quite happy to play catch up whilst lots of football on the telly :)

Which housewife is your favourite and do you have any friend who reminds you any of the housewives? I think my favourite is Bree but I keep changing my mind and I have a friend who has 'Lynnet' written all over her. I can't stop thinking about my friend when I watch Lynnet.

I just watched it, I'm sad that it's over. Thought that it was odd that Lynette and Tom ended up in a penthouse in New York, what about baby Paige and Penny?
Not that kids can't live in penthouses but seems unfair that the other kids lived on the lane and new Paige lives in a penthouse in NYC

The penthouse was right in front of the park so I am sure Paige went there everyday...and as for Penny, she was already a teenager so I am sure she had lots of opportunities and fun!

I have been irritated by Susan right from the very start to the very end!

Have watched and enjoyed all the series but it has probably run its course.

A bit morbid but kind of nice that Kathryn Joosten's character (Karen McCluskey) died on tv rather than the actress just vanishing from the series. It felt like a fitting way for her to say goodbye.

Brothers & sisters was on for a few series' & was brilliant so definitely worth a watch if you can get your hands on the DVDs. Lots to drool over too

was a very sad two episodes. I saved the penultimate one so I could watch them both together. It was wierd watching Karen sarcastically saying about not having long left when she had died very recently. I thought that was the saddest thing. I liked how we found out how they all ended up in the long run, but it was a bit OTT happy and rich with Gabby moving to California and Lynette living in that appartment. Bree going into politics.

Dont know why they had to have that bit with the box though. I think they should have ended it with looking at the narrators ghostly face (Mary-Alice I think her name was)

This was the best series I thought, but I did think a couple of seasons ago it had run its course.

What were Lynette and Tom's children called, there is one missing from my memory. I have Porter, Preston, Penny and Paige. There was another boy wasn't there?

Why did terri hatcher fall out with them all?

I'm not sure any future was sketched out for Susan ... ? It left me wondering if they might be planning an offshoot Susan Delfino series, which would be disastrous as she has always been the most irritating housewife.

Another mystery: wasn't one of the Scavo children Tom's from a previous fling or something. I seem to remember a storyline where they took in/adopted a girl who was a bit evil.

And yes, what is the rift between Terri Hatcher and the others all about?

Cheers for the Hello link - it had a bit more info than other sites (I did google).

It was also sad to read about the Mrs McCluskey actress dying in real life of lung cancer only three weeks after filming ended. Wonder how she felt doing her deathbed scene knowing that it would really be happening to her soon. Anyway, apparently she died with her family around her and with lots of laughter.
