Ta da!

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 22/06/2012 10:25

I got all excited this morning. The lady on BBC News said 'Doctor Carter' was going to be on! It was the bloke off E.R. Sad

DoctorsOnly · 22/06/2012 10:31

How disappointing Sad

I'm trying to think up future plots at the moment but I can't come up with anything. I bet the scriptwriters are gutted.

MildredIsMyAlterEgo · 22/06/2012 10:32

Snogging Kevin alive or dead would be wrong. I only could if it was him or Heston (sorry Heston)

MustControl here btw, namechanged due to sheer boredom. When is Doctors back on? I might have to go and get a job at this rate Shock Sad

DoctorsOnly · 22/06/2012 11:07

Welcome back MustControl. Name changer here also obviously Smile.

It is not looking good for Doctors. Wimbledon is on from 25th June until 8th July.

The Olympics are on from 27th July until 12th August.

So we may get some Doctors (and hopefully beanbag) action between 9th July and 27th.

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 23/06/2012 12:39

Shameless Saturday bump.
I am looking forward to Wimbledon, but I miss DoctorsSad. Horses just don't cut it.

pmsl @ Dok-tah Cahtah/Dr 'Er' Carter confusion.

I am watching 'Calamity Jane' with DD1 (she's nearly 6)- she really isn't appreciative of Doris Day1Grin

DoctorsOnly · 23/06/2012 13:04

I second that bump. Smile

Calamity Jane is a great film.

I'm currently being subjected to channel hopping by DS2. Lord save me!

I may get out 'West Side Story' later today. We only have one tv atm. The kids will either be entranced or upset. Grin

HarriettJones · 23/06/2012 15:46

Dd3 (20m) has voted for racing. Bouncing up & down in front of the horses!

DoctorsOnly · 24/06/2012 13:14

Sunday bump as I am all fired up from seeing the Olympic Flame this morning. My DD was Grin. Well worth the wait and it didn't even rain! I've never seen so many police in my life and they were 'high fiving' the children as they rode slowly past on their motorbikes (the police were on motorbikes, not the children...)

I wonder what Letherbridge would have made of it? There would probably have been a terrible incident and Gobby Plod would have been right on hand to solve it.

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2012 13:19

Well the F1 is on here. Sad

We went to see the flame when it went past the end of the road. i wasn't that fussed but it was great.

Plod would be carrying the flame obviously due to all the crime fighting he does-as recognition. Gobby would be screeching from the side. Grin

DoctorsOnly · 24/06/2012 13:25

Grin Yes. She'd be schreeching "gwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan Rob" and standing proud thrusting her bosoms out (as she does) and saying "that's my Rob that is".

Immie would have coloured her hair red, white and blue.

HarriettJones · 24/06/2012 13:29

Mrs T carrying it for her 'community work'

DoctorsOnly · 24/06/2012 13:34

Oh, I forgot about Mrs T and her very charitable acts interfering ways. Gobby Plod vs Mrs T? My vote goes to Mrs T.

toldmywrath · 24/06/2012 16:13

Ah but as Rob is the only plod in the village, where would all the extra police come from to guard the flame?

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2012 16:15

Rob can guard his won flame. Or Gobby could-you wouldn't want her screeching at you. Grin

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 24/06/2012 18:40

You must live nearish to me DoctorsOnly. We didn't bother going to see the torch too early but then we did have a real one in the house, as we borrowed it from Dh's mate who was a torch bearer the other week, when it was in Knutsford. We took it into school for assembly- ds carried it in whilst they played 'Chariot's of Fire'Grin

I was worried we would damage it!

I've decided Mrs T should pop up in Wimbledon. Like 'Where's wally'Grin

DoctorsOnly · 24/06/2012 20:16

Raahh - I am in awe of you having an actual Torch in the house Envy. And yes, I am nearish to you but in a slightly less desirable area Grin

Can Mrs T wear her purple Ascot hat with the tidy bow to make her easier to spot at Wimbledon?

RaahhfaNadalsmyToyboy · 24/06/2012 21:42

Oh, I'm not in a desirable area- think near the airportGrin

It was cool- the kids at school were so excited. i wasn't fussed about the whole thing, but it was actually really good.

mrs T, with her Tidy Bow. deffo.Grin

SoleSource · 25/06/2012 20:51

They're always filimg Doctors around here. Seen loads of the cast. I do like that programme but haven't watched for months.

DoctorsOnly · 26/06/2012 10:04

SoleSource I'm a bit Envy but also a bit glad that I haven't seen the filming or cast. It would spoil the magic Grin

My Mum went to visit the Coronation Street set many years back and was very disappointed. Her illusions were shattered.

SoleSource · 26/06/2012 12:59

They film in and around Bournville in Birmingham aswell as other locations. The Mill is down the road from me. The crew are nice and polite and they rent houses/offices to film in. mine isn't good enough without offerring unless they're looking for a dump

HarriettJones · 26/06/2012 18:45

Messed up my routine today having no Doctors, I usually watch it when dd3 feeds/naps

toldmywrath · 29/06/2012 20:18

Another bump! Just saying hello to RaahhfaNadalsMyToyboy. Rafa should have more time for you now-sorry he's out. What a shocker.

Sparklingbrook · 29/06/2012 20:24

Hi all. I am beginning to forget what the cliffhanger was . Grin It's really cocking my day up not having it on. Angry

HarrietJonez · 29/06/2012 20:48

When's it back?

Sparklingbrook · 29/06/2012 20:50

Monday July 9th. Phew.
