Carole Malone-vilest remarks ever on TV?

I couldn't believe what I was hearing watching Carole Malone's comments on This Morning about the terrible Philpot tragedy, ?who were bringing attention to themselves? and was ?an accident waiting to happen?

Ms Malone is an experienced journalist and commentator who knew exactly what she was saying.

Inappropriate, distasteful and insensitive, I would be ashamed to pay her fee for this appearance.

The media vilify families like this, and the father in repeatedly 'going public' about their situation brought attention to his own family.

Carole Malone has acknowledged this and said that the family's public profile has meant that they had enemies. She has speculated that this might be the reason for this suspected arson attack. She is there to give her opinion on why it may have happened - I don't think she said they were asking for it, merely that this family brought attention to themselves and this is possibly a reason for this dreadful crime to have happened.

Perhaps she shouldn't have voiced her opinion as to why it happened, but her conjecture does not mean she has condoned it in any way.

I got it wrong - she doesn't write for the Express, she used to have a column in the news of the screws.

Do you know I have never emailed a show in my life, not even throug FrankieBoyleGate etc. I actually missed this episode and based on that clip I just sent an email to the show, such is my rage at this vile woman. No doubt it will do no good but I had to do it.

The father may have made some strange life choices but that doesn't equal the horrific deaths of six children.

Unimaginable that someone could first of all do that knowing there were children in the house, unimaginable that someone could then point to the family set up as a reason.

Whoever did this is...well...I can't think of a word to describe how vile they are. Malone has always shot her mouth off though.

A few years ago, she was a guest on The wright show, and Matthew Wright was off at the time. Richard Bacon was filling in for him. Carole was spouting her usual crap and Richard Bacon wiped the floor with her. As he knows quite a bit about politics he was able to argue against her daft views really well. I always liked him after that, it was one of the best things I've seen on any discussion show.

She used to write horrible things about Princess Diana, but then completely changed her tune when Diana died of course.

I think she is quite popular because she spouts that all too familiar tabloid rubbish about people on benefits, immigrants etc and that's what a lot of people want to read unfortunately.

AnyFucker · 17/05/2012 07:29

She won't be surprised then some when somebody pours petrol through her letterbox, will she? I mean, she is drawing attention to herself by making controversial coments on telly

ledkr · 17/05/2012 07:41

She has long since been a twat. She used to be obeses (see old episodes of guilty) then lost weight and began to vilify fat people regularly. She is now on her way to being fat again so I wonder how she will get out of that. She is a bitter and vile woman her columns were judgeyer than I have even read before.
Lets get her!

feuerandwasser · 17/05/2012 07:52

Agree with ledkr....she has always been a twat, she is just adding to her twat points.

carernotasaint · 17/05/2012 15:49

Well This morning must be worried. According to another forum the clip of the old hag making these comments has been pulled from youtube.

BrightnessFalls · 17/05/2012 16:17

I doubt they are worried, what difference would that make to them?

Hulababy · 17/05/2012 16:24

It's here still

YouWithTheFace · 17/05/2012 16:34

Wow, that's one of the worst choice-of-phrases I've ever heard used. An accident waiting to happen. Are we sure she's not trying out for The Daily Show's spoof Senior Lunatic Right-Wing reporter slot? That is beyond anything I've ever seen in the satirical press.

LineRunner · 17/05/2012 16:36

Lots of people end up in the public eye for all sorts of reasons, and that doesn't mean that people somehow naturally think they can 'have a go' at them, let alone by murdering their children.

This family was murdered by one or more murderers. To call that an accident, to indulge in victim blaming, to even attempt to analyse what happened within a context of blame, is sick.

carernotasaint · 17/05/2012 16:38

Someone on another forum said the clip had been disabled. It must have been put back up again.

LineRunner · 17/05/2012 17:03

I haven't watched it. Just the use of the word 'accident' makes me pissed off.

ThatVikRinA22 · 17/05/2012 21:04

she says "the police seem to think this was done on purpose, they dont quite know who it is yet, however this family became a target a couple of years ago, i suspect they had many enemies out there because they were seen to be on benefits, they were seen to be asking for a bigger council house and probably upset a lot of people at the time....." she then said "it was an accident waiting to happen"

i cannot believe, that anyone can, in any way shape of form, speak as if this makes them a legitimate target or in any way justifies the murder of their 6 children.

That there are people out there who can voice this shit on tv is quite sickening. ITV made a grave error of judgement in allowing this.

LineRunner · 17/05/2012 21:08

vicar absolutely agree about the bad decision to air this.

wintera · 17/05/2012 21:24

Carole Malone is like a female Kelvin Mackenzie, and I can't stand him either. Totally worthless the pair of em. If the family were made a target because of being in the papers etc then she shouldn't be on her high horse anyway. She works for exactly the kind of papers that would have an absolute field day with this kind of story. I've never liked her, she always talks rubbish!

jojo63 · 20/05/2012 18:07

Mick Philpott has not been on TV since 2005 ? CM has no evidence to prop up up her inhuman allegations, The producers of This Morning should be investigated as to why CM was allowed to spout her propagander to the nation and both should be dealt with accordingly, there is a group called " sack carol Malone " and is actively seeking her dimissal. What prompted her too speak such vileness is beyond me because the piece was about the children being murdered this woman is beyond any kind of compassion and has a swinging brick for heart ! please join the group it is heading to 4,000 members and is drawing alot of attention thankyou x

jojo63 · 20/05/2012 18:11

Also you can make complaints to ofcom it takes 2 mins to fill out the form so please do this family did not deserve her unkind unjust remarks.

jojo63 · 20/05/2012 18:16

im sorry you are wrong do your research and do not believe CMs rubbish ! the last time mick was in the media spotlight was FIVE years ago so how does that make him and his family a target ? @ PorkyandBess ?

OhNoMyFanjo · 20/05/2012 18:39

She has shown what a crap jorno she is because from my understanding and reading between the lines it's not a case of someone random doing this because he was on benefits.

OhNoMyFanjo · 20/05/2012 18:41
LineRunner · 20/05/2012 20:23

Carol Malone was so wrong to use the word 'accident' to describe child murder.
