Sorry. Seen it. Loved it. Bring on Killing 3!

anniewoo · 14/05/2012 07:26

The Channel 4 one - the American one ?

RayofSun · 14/05/2012 07:35

The Brit one. Love it but can't workout what direction it's going in

autumnchild · 14/05/2012 07:38

i'm watching it - not too sure about it though. I enjoyed the first series, but as this one carries on where that one left off, it just seems to be a continuation.

I think its a bit strange that, although they have now ruled that the politician is not the killer because of his alibi, they seem to be ignoring all of the things that pointed to him in the first place. Why isnt Sarah they going back to the casino where Rosie was last seen alive and that escort club she was a member of - surely that would be the best thing to do?

i think it may get a bit too far-fetched.

What do you think of it?

birdofthenorth · 14/05/2012 08:23

I am watching it too. My main
Observation is that linden doesn't appear to have changed her jumper in 14 days Smile

The vigilanteism is beginning to get a bit daft and repetitive. Also as the last poster said they seem to have stopped focussing on Rosie and building up a picture of her life which reduces the impact a bit, now it's more just a twisty whodunit with less emotional engagement. And the obsession with who's a good cop & who's a bad cop is starting to grate.

HokeyCokeyPigInaPokey · 14/05/2012 11:31

I watched the 1st series and am just watching the 2nd episode from series 2 on catch up.

I agree it is more about who's a good cop and who's a bad cop and the focus has shifted.

I am quite enjoying it though and like the Holder character and hope that really he is decent and comes good. I just wish the sun would bloody shine though, i know it is atmospheric but it's a bit of a depressing watch.

anniewoo · 14/05/2012 19:36

It's dark and dreary and difficult to follow but i'm still watching it Grin. Got distracted at one stage - is holder a goodie or baddie. Missed why lindon fell out with him. Nobody i know watching it so can't find out in RL.

I think she realised the cctv photo of Richmond on the bridge was a fake and she thought it was Holder that faked it but it wasn't....at least i think that's why!

autumnchild · 15/05/2012 10:37

yes thats why - becasue she thinks he is onvolved cos the photo was faked. I'm sure they will end up back as a team and solve it all in the end!

Ok - who do we think really killed rosie?

autumnchild · 15/05/2012 10:38

Excuse the typos!

HokeyCokeyPigInaPokey · 15/05/2012 12:02

I don't know!!

I did think maybe Gwen but i don't really have any idea!

Or that it was something to do with the mob guy that stand used to work for.

You?

autumnchild · 15/05/2012 21:38

mmm really not sure. I hope it doesnt turn out to be someone who hasnt been in it yet - that would be really disappointing Sad.

I think its possibly leading towards someone on that other politicians team doing it to try and set up darren richmond.

Also, i can't remember frrom series 1 - but where did rosie's mother go?

anniewoo · 15/05/2012 21:41

Hokey cokey u might be right about Gwen being the murderer!

OP posts:
HokeyCokeyPigInaPokey · 16/05/2012 12:48

That should have been Stan not stand!!

Rosie's mum, Mitch wasn't it? Just walked out didn't she?

HokeyCokeyPigInaPokey · 17/05/2012 09:24

So the man with the tattoo?!

autumnchild · 17/05/2012 10:31

Or is it another red herring?

Well last night's episode dealt with a lot of my points about the casino and rosie's mum perhaps the producers read mn

Hokey - you might be right about the people Stan used to work for - or did they just run that escort business and are trying to get rid of their link?

HokeyCokeyPigInaPokey · 17/05/2012 13:53

I don't know that confused me at the end when they were deleteing all the data? Maybe he ran Beau Soleil and Rosie knew him and found out??

Is he setting Stan up, why was the van seen on the cctv near the fire?

I am confused, but i guess the back pack will tell them something?

garlicfucker · 17/05/2012 22:20

I am UTTERLY Confused Just watched episode 3 and am even more in the dank & gloomy twilight than I was last week! I swear the first series wasn't this hard. Can somebody please explain WTAF is going on?

Why is Stan's gangster detective murderous ex-boss wiping all the casino files? Does he own it? Was Rosie working for him? Why can't Stan go over there and find out for himself if all the girls are Russian?

After tonight's incomprehensible developments, I suspect [a] He got Rosie on the game as some sort of revenge against Stan; [b] Rosie refused to do something he told her to; [c] So he had her killed. It doesn't make sense though Confused

Why did Holder switch Rosie's backpack? Whose blood was on the fake? Whose is on the real one? Why the fuck did anyone put it outside Stan's door in the first place?

Why do all the women in the show look the same, except for Linden and the blonde mistress? Is that ginger guy a baddie? Is ANYBODY actually a goodie?

I don't really expect anyone to answer Grin I'll have to go and find a synopsis on the Web. But I desperately needed to vent!

birdofthenorth · 17/05/2012 22:42

I'm starting to think that Mitch's sister Terry is the murderer, or at least involved someway- maybe she got Rosie into prostitution?

Garlic Holder switched the bags to prove the ex-police chief guy (the one now living on the boat) wasn't processing the evidence properly.

garlicfucker · 17/05/2012 23:56

Ah ... thanks, bird. Yes, why do anything the straightforward way when you can tamper with evidence to make your point? Confused

Now you mention it, there was something in series 1 that suggested Terry was a hooker, wasn't there?

Perhaps, instead of looking for a synopsis, I should take the 'Lost' approach and just let it wash over me in hopes that all will become clear. But I'll be well pissed off if it becomes as unclear as Lost!

autumnchild · 18/05/2012 10:07

Yes, Terry was also on that Beau soleil site - i presume thats how rosie got into it. I do think Terry is suspicious and definatel knows more than she's letting on.

What i keep thinking with the bag-switching etc is that if this ever gets to trial it will get thrown out because of police tampering with evidence (sorry - can't help it, I'ma solicitor Grin) so it will all have been for nothing!

On a side topic how has alan Dale who played Jim Robinson in Neighbours made it into all these big american shows (he was in 24)?

HokeyCokeyPigInaPokey · 18/05/2012 11:53

I think Terry is a bit odd but i also think the mum's behaviour is a bit odd. I know she had lost a child and i have no idea how i would be in the same situation but it makes me think there is a but more too it, she doesn't even want to talk to her sister to know how her boys are.

Any why is he not processing the evidence correctly, what/who is he hiding. I don't think there was any blood or anything on the one Holder gave them, that was the point....any who is the dodgy looking cop that Holder meets with, what is his connection and who was taking pictures if Linden watching them when they met up?? So many questions!!!

It's all a bit Confused i am so tempted to google it to find out what happens but don't want to spoil it if it's good.

anniewoo · 18/05/2012 15:12

Thank goodness someone is watching it and can explain to me. Very convoluted-sometimes i think script writers are so up their own *** that their scripts are incomprehensible or as clear as mud.
