I thought that it would be someone she has met through her work either a police woman or a criminal but if she was twelve when her mum left wouldn't she have remembered what she looked like?

Watched it on Skyplus last night and have been pondering this question.

Yes - you would think at 12 she would have been able to recognise her own mother...

Is there definitely another series then? Filmed locally to me and I love spotting familiar places. Know the pub the ending was filmed in.

Was the mother with someone in the pub? That's what I thought, because surely she would still recognise her mum. Ooh, maybe it was the brother with the mum.....

Just watching on iplayer. Love Janet's blouse 35 mins in, the cream one with black clover leaves on. The series has been fab, can't wait for the next one!

I thought it must be someone she knows but couldn't think who and, as others have pointed out, she would remember what her mum looked like. I also wondered if maybe there was something shocking about her mum's appearance - like she was fabulously wealthy or very down at heel or maybe disfigured in some way.

I love this series - think its brill. I agree with the earlier poster that I don't think it's anyone exciting, it's just to get us to tune in (hope next series happens soon!!).

What did anyone think about Ady dumping Janet?

I think the real reason she was getting back with Ade wasn't because she truly loves him & wants him but because that horrible policeman made her think that Ade's 'safe' & decent & she wanted that, rather than him iyswim.

That sergeant really was a fucker - he made me feel properly stabby!! I'd like her to get back with Ade & be happy just to spite him actually!

Oh no - I didn't realise that was the last in the series so I'm all disappointed now as I love it.
