A whole year to the next series

I didn't really like this series. i felt the writing was very poor and even though the actors are goo, it just didn't have anything about it, it's a bit predictable and safe. It is ok tv, not in the same league as some dramas (mentalist, prisoner's wives, the killing, homelands)

it is safe tv and the acting is good - well some - lesley sharp and her superior but the stories are a bit OTT and ridiculous.
it is enjoyable guff

I felt quite sorry for him-apart from when he was arguing with her mum.

I was pleased when he told her to get lost- she did deserve it.

Did we ever find out who was sending Rachel the flowers if it wasn't Sean Maguire? I thought it was going to turn out to be Nick Thingy the barrister, but since he's now brown bread, I can't see the point in that.

She would know who her mum was if she last saw her at 12 and if she'd had a sex change/been disfigured surely Sean would have mentioned it because he had seen her recently at his mums. I so hope they get anothe series, by far the best british crime drama on the box just now. I used to love Silent witness, but that's just gotten silly!
