Verdict on the series 2 end?

Didn´t see it coming, that´s for sure!

I'm really enjoying it, but I'm hiding this thread for now because I haven't seen last night's episode yet. I didn't know it was finishing.

I'm hoping for a third series....

I just watched last night's episode and ...OMG. That was v unexpected ending. I don't want to spoilit for anyone who hasn't yet seen it so won't say more.

But

I was in bits. Will hve to wait months now for the next series.

I´m wondering if it will turn out as it appears iyswim.

I´m thinking that it won´t be as it seems because there has already been Lee in this series & there was Marlene in series 1.

But then if he ends up needing her to care for him, that might be an interesting twist.

Hope not hes one of the best although such great acting its hard to choose

Wow, just seen it. I guessed as soon as he walked up to the line after Lee and Marlene what had happened. Probably because I was expecting a shock after reading this.

It's such a great series. The acting is second to none and it has humour and sadness in equal measure, but is never depressing to watch. I can't understand why it's still hidden away on More 4. I never see adverts for it; if I hadn't seen a thread on here saying the new series was starting I would have completely missed it.

What a moving end to a fantastic series. Its a shame its tucked away, I don't know anyone in RL who watches it. I think I'll have to check out the link above, I don't want to wait to see what happens.

Its a difficult premise as we know there isn't going to be a miracle cure and really we know we're moving toward Cathy's death but it's so well done.

I'm missing Cynthia Nixon, I hope she might come back in S3.

It's such a fab series - so realistic and well written and acted. Have been loving it.

diddl - I think the reason I liked it when she was in was because of the extra storylines outside of the immediate family.

backforgood - it was fantastic wasn't it, I'm still a little moved even now.

When he walked up and stood just that little bit apart from her son and that bit closer to Lee like at the end of Return of the Jedi I did actually go 'Noooooooooo!' at the telly.

I can't stop thinking about it. Their poor son especially as she's got maybe two years

Andrea - I think they said she was with her parents.

she had had a bust up with her bf the previous week - when they were to get marriedin a hurry to secure his visa.

Aren't her parents in Uganda/The Congo/other troubled African country though?

No, that was the previous week, wasn't it ?
They did say she'd gone to her parents - I guess flown over for the Christmas period.
