Is anyone watching Four in a Bed?

I've just got in to this - taping it to watch with the evening feed, how sad it that?! - and I want to talk about it with someone! Like this week's show, how awful is that Gordon? Such a nasty, personal comment to make ("its his new toy and he'll get bored soon") and to think it is a justified comment!

I'm not sure I'd want to stay at any of the hotels though... Grin

I happened to watch that one, never seen it before. What a lot of fuss about a mouse in the country, especially as they were moved so quickly.

BellaCB · 13/04/2012 09:35

Exactly! But then he got so defensive when people were asking about all the risque art in his hotel. I don't say this often, but... weirdo.

Gordon is the worst person I have ever seen on this programme and I watch it on Ch 4 and More 4 every day and have done for years

I was very glad to see that the tripadvisor reviews for Gordon and Blossom's place are rubbish.

BellaCB · 13/04/2012 14:11

Ha - just had to check them out, lovely comments about Gordon himself! I thought nothing could beat the weirdness of the French one the other week but this week's has been a charmer.

Ha ha Gordon the Gopher you came third.

And dry your crocodile tears. My mum was apparently moved by them Blush

GilbertandGeorge · 13/04/2012 19:47

I have never seen it but someone I know (and loathe) is on it very soon!

BellaCB · 13/04/2012 20:50

Oooh, Gilbert, you have to let us know when it is!

I was pretty much jeering at the TV when that young lad proved himself to be so polite and Gordon and his wife started feeling bad about it...

OP posts:
GilbertandGeorge · 13/04/2012 21:17

I'll have to work out how I can do that without offending anyone!

Gordon did himself no favours in the show. Did you watch the other week, the Queens in Spain? another B&B you wouldn't touch with a bargepole, it was filthy.

BellaCB · 15/04/2012 17:33

Oh, God, the Queens was awful! And the owner wasn't much better, slagging off all the other hotels and underpaying simply because she wouldn't choose to stay in a hotel like that, rather than judging it on its merits! The French one was pretty spectacular too, with that guy who kept singing even when he couldn't...

I love this programme! Gordons shouty poems! What was that all about? This weeks wierdo award goes to spencer and his mum who want to sleep in the same room!!

noUggscuse · 17/04/2012 18:42

Same room is bad enough but SAME BED! WTF?

Sharpkat · 17/04/2012 19:02

I was laughing so much when he said he would prefer to share a bed with his mother. WTAF???

PinotsKittensAreAYearOldToday · 17/04/2012 19:41

I only started watching this 2 weeks ago as a friends sister was taking part. I am now obsessed with this show :o

BellaCB · 17/04/2012 20:58

Pinot, don't be ashamed, I'm obsessed too Blush. Though I am still waiting to see a hotel I would willingly pay money to stay in...

PinotsKittensAreAYearOldToday · 17/04/2012 21:00

The themed rooms tonight .... omg how tacky! And not providing two rooms for the Mum and son. Tsk.

See? Obsessed!

BellaCB · 17/04/2012 21:08

It was the straight-faced comment about how the room themes sometimes came to her in dreams - "and so I woke up and thought, what about a prehistoric room?"

Words. Fail. Me.

(I've only seen the first half of today's show, so am now glaring at DP to turn the blasted football off so that I can watch him ask to share a bed with his mum!)

Who was your friend's sister?

PinotsKittensAreAYearOldToday · 17/04/2012 21:09

I sneered at the Flintstones room. Proper lip curl. Give me strength. And ooooh someone from Corrie once stayed there :o

The pretty young Anna in Spain. She won

Sharpkat · 17/04/2012 21:25

Anna in Spain was lovely (not that I watch this every day). I was so pleased that they won Smile

PinotsKittensAreAYearOldToday · 17/04/2012 21:29

Me tooooo Sharpkat! Especially when that nasty Julia underpaid. Tsk.

BellaCB · 17/04/2012 21:30

Anna and her boyfriend were about the only normal people I've seen on this show. I decided they needed to win after her very understandable outburst at being asked how she 'felt' about being 'exposed' to gay couples and a transgender woman, when you could almost see she was restraining herself from saying "who gives a...?"

Themes room - you've got to find it interesting that they decided to only put the guests in the non-theme rooms, though!

I have finally caught up on this weeks first 2 episodes. I am getting a bit Hmm with it though, it's going the same way as CDWM I think. People on it are being so petty with their marking, I think anyway

CuriousMama · 18/04/2012 22:18

Oh I love it too Grin

I used to love 3 in a bed. Once there was a B&B up here (north) dp and I said we'd love to stay in. I think it's in Warkworth?? But like you all I rarely see one I'd make an effort to go to.

Think this week I prefer posh bloke and his wife with cropped white hair. He seems a real gent?

Can't stand weirdy dream theme pair.

CuriousMama · 18/04/2012 22:25

Did a google and here it is. Looks lovely. Maybe we'll stay there when we get married as don't want to go far? Not that the wedding's even planned yet Grin
