4000% disguisting. Sad

sailorsgal · 09/04/2012 22:40

they seem to have money for fags, booze and taxis.

Hissboo · 09/04/2012 22:42

Some of them are working.

Surprised at the mother's attitude towards Kelly considering she has suffered from depression too. Not very caring at all.

blapbird · 09/04/2012 22:42

Poor Kelly. Sad I really feel for her.

NiceHamione · 09/04/2012 22:44

If I lived in such dire poverty I would drink and smoke.

birthdaygurl · 09/04/2012 22:44

x post.

birthdaygurl · 09/04/2012 22:45

Thats the thing, the smoking and drinking probably keeps them going.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/04/2012 22:48

The mum has just said (not quote but along the lines of)

"It's easier than someone who works hard and has to wait for their money at the end of the month"

Thanks for your 'sympathy' love while I take myself off to my job in NHS which I have to pay for proffessional insurance and State Registration to allow me to work for the NHS .That I will have to work until I'm 67 (at the moment, it'll change no doubt). More and more to my pension, to get less and less back.
To pay for the 2 children DH and I have. One of which sleeps in the lounge because bedroom 3 is a box room, until we can raise the money to get the loft extension. I can't afford a 5 bedroom fecking house. And I don't want to borrow because as we know the NHS isn't exactly safe at the moment.

I'm pi**ed off with this programme on many levels.

sailorsgal · 09/04/2012 22:48

How much does a blackberry cost?

greenplastictrees · 09/04/2012 22:50

Those girls have all done so well for themselves. I feel so awful for Kelly though. She seems so depressed.

NiceHamione · 09/04/2012 22:50

Why don't you give up your job and live in benefits then.

We had to stop at two children and work longs hours for that, I still can see that this woman has hard a difficult life.

If paying her benefits has enabled her to raise her girls to be productive members of society that is money well spent.

birthdaygurl · 09/04/2012 22:50

The mums depressed. Sad

birthdaygurl · 09/04/2012 22:51

70 - go on the dole. Wink

NiceHamione · 09/04/2012 22:52

I just knew there would be MNers watching this looking for evidence of "nice things" that poor people should not have.

ifancyashandy · 09/04/2012 22:52

Shock! And double Shock! The working poor spend their money how they like!

How very fucking dare they!

And, people on benefits are legally allowed to spend that money on fags, booze & taxis if they so desire.

But, sorry, I forgot. The poor must apologise for their situation at all times.

The poverty trap is so bloody depressing. I'd turn to drink.
