Liking it so far (and the new male inspector - hmmm). Found series 14 quite a stretch of the imagination (Harry's doppleganger type episode in particular).

No idea who dunnit though.....

It was OK!

Who was the woman at the end-supposedly "The Wraith"?-but why did they show her iyswim?

NewChoos · 02/04/2012 08:34

I meant no idea what's really behind it...

I did have a fleeting wonder about the mum of the boy (who quite frankly makes me want to lock up my DS in his room forever to keep him safe)

I missed the very beginning so was confused as I thought that the woman who killed herself (Lizzie?) was the mother of the young pathologist who diedBlush

I did wonder if it was some revenge for her death-or was she also a victim of "The Wraith"?

LaGrenouille · 02/04/2012 11:51

Bad press for gaming. Play violent games and you turn into a psycho?

I liked it, but also found the suicide person's identity hard to fathom. I should watch it when less tired.

NewChoos · 02/04/2012 12:45

The woman that died was Lizzie's sister and yes she could have been a victim of the Wraith - well the person under the control of the Wraith. I think she may have been a policewoman.

I've just remembered, I think the policeman who said he had secured the floor (when the woman died) is the new guy in charge.

My thought was that someone was doing it to make the pathologists "look good"-but that doesn´t make sense since one was killed iyswim.

I´m a bit foggy as was watching with subtitles on & they kept going off!!

SunflowersSmile · 02/04/2012 19:57

I couldn't take it. Went all 'can't cope' with the dead children in the barn type place. Switched off. I am getting feeble in my old age- too nasty for me...

lurkingaround · 02/04/2012 23:01

I bought it was a load of complicated tat.
And a bit of 'too nasty' thrown in for whatever.

OrmIrian · 03/04/2012 15:32

I was watching it as I normally love SIlent Witness but the death of the little boy was too much.

LIZS · 03/04/2012 15:37

Gratuitous and over complicated.

MrsCampbellBlack · 03/04/2012 17:47

I do think SW has just gone too dark.

NewChoos · 03/04/2012 19:53

It has been dark for several series now - I felt wasn't as sinister as some episodes have been. I do agree about the death of the little boy - too much indeed.

MrsCampbellBlack · 03/04/2012 19:56

And on a frivolous note - I've always enjoyed the clothes that Emilia fox wears and in those episodes - she looked frightful and did too much of her perplexed face which annoys me irrationally.

LaGrenouille · 04/04/2012 00:02

Was anyone else confused about the girl seen with the army fanatic bloke? If she didn't really exist, why did they show her with him?

diddl · 04/04/2012 07:17

Was it the policewoman-Ginny?

NickNacks · 04/04/2012 07:22

I think the slim figure in the hoody who they presumed was the woman turned out to be his male friend - the one who was in his bedroom. Saw him getting arrested at the end with his hooded coat up with that fur lining.

I think.

diddl · 04/04/2012 11:10

I agree with that NN

But then why did he go with Ginny when she turned up?

At the end of Ep 1 I think it looked like Ginny.

whatkungfuthat · 04/04/2012 13:48

The dead little boy was horrible. Looks like they are making the killings more awful and the stories more sensational/unbelievable to keep us watching. Hardly a substitute for good writing though.

Wonder where they are going with the pg inspector, if anywhere? IIRC its usually different police staff for every story.

NewChoos · 04/04/2012 19:55

Pg Inspector - romance with Harry?
Thought she was very beautiful.

I'll try to keep watching but if it gets more scary (am lightweight), distasteful (no need to include children in this way -I agree) I'll stop watching.

I still remember the episode from a few series ago with the gangs and I stopped watching for a while after this too. Sometimes it's just too hard hitting and I like to believe these things don't happen!

OP posts:
Staverton · 04/04/2012 20:04

So why did the hoody boy ask the killer man if he had a woman with him, or if a woman put him up to it

And why was there a female voice saying you need to clear up your mess on the bridge?

LaGrenouille · 04/04/2012 21:11

I think we need answers from the BBC production team!

diddl · 05/04/2012 06:19

Maybe some of it was the killer hallucinating?

Or the hoody lad trying to convince the killer that he had had nothing to do with it?

warmandwooly · 05/04/2012 06:45

It was just too complicated. I have not got a clue about what happened.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/04/2012 06:52

We've had only had one episode haven't we? I'm getting in a right muddle as I only ever seem to watch on catch up.

warmandwooly · 05/04/2012 07:14

RatherAiOne full episode in two parts.
