I can't believe she didn't twig earlier that her boyfriend was very, very odd.

I don't understand why they are continuing to show those photos of her. Surely they can grey it out, or not show it so much, or so close up Confused. And she has those "other" hate ones still on her computer?

scurryfunge · 20/02/2012 22:31

I have missed some of it and don't understand why a second set of photos were allowed to be taken after the first lot had been circulated.

megapixels · 20/02/2012 22:35

She didn't know that it was him doing it.

Kellamity · 20/02/2012 22:36

She let him take more photos so he could "prove" it wasn't him uploading them. If she couldn't trust him he didn't want to be with her Confused Sad

megapixels · 20/02/2012 22:38

Poor girl, the checking is just like the abuse victim's behaviour in "Into the Darkest Corner".

ggirl · 20/02/2012 22:39

I thought it was advertied as going to be a big shocking conclusion at the end of the documentary...when it's painfully obvious from the start.

EightiesChick · 20/02/2012 22:39

Her father is also odd. Not helpful. The thing her mother said, about how if her father'd known about the photos he'd have demanded that Ruth chose between him and Shane, was very weird. I would more likely have expected it to be that if the father'd found out he'd have gone round to have a go at him.

From what I can gather her boyfriend took pics of her, which appeared online. I think he claimed someone had accessed them from his pc and uploaded them. She believed him. He wanted to take more explicit photos and although she didn't want him to, he told her that she would if she loved him and he'd leave her if she wouldn't do it. Usual emotional blackmail type EA stuff. So more pics were taken and they appeared online.

Kellamity · 20/02/2012 22:40

It's all very odd

ggirl · 20/02/2012 22:40

are they all dim or somehitng

Kellamity · 20/02/2012 22:40

ggirl this is what DH and I have been asking!

scurryfunge · 20/02/2012 22:41

Ah, ok. That makes sense. Poor girl.

Aerobreaking · 20/02/2012 22:41

This is all very strange. Both parents seem a bit odd.

ggirl · 20/02/2012 22:42

ah well if he swore on his uncles grave ...Hmm

megapixels · 20/02/2012 22:42

Yeah. Dim is about right.

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 20/02/2012 22:43

I just don't understand why they didn't approach the police.

EightiesChick · 20/02/2012 22:43

Yes I find the parents very odd. Suppose not so surprising then that she seems poorly equipped to deal with it.

OP posts:
scurryfunge · 20/02/2012 22:43

Yes but being dim is not a crime.

Kellamity · 20/02/2012 22:43

Maybe the shocking conclusion is something that he does rather than who it is. Whatever this is all very odd

ggirl · 20/02/2012 22:44

getting bored of it now
I know who the culprit is

TheDetective · 20/02/2012 22:47

The father called her relatively intelligent... read 'he is dimmer than his daughter' :/

EightiesChick · 20/02/2012 22:48

There's no shock conclusion. It is exactly what it seems to be. The case was in the papers a while back. The way it's presented here does the Jeffery family no favours though.
