OP posts:

Pathan, the child's problems are genetic in origin and with middle class educated and pushy parents children like that rarely catch up.

MamaMaiasaura · 30/01/2012 21:47

He's trying to get his dad to respond. Poor boy. Sad

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 30/01/2012 21:48

Lots can be done for the little boy but it depends on the consistancy of care he gets from now on.

I very much doubt he will ever be on a par with his peers though.

LineRunner · 30/01/2012 21:48

Mike doesn't talk to his son.

Charlotteperkins · 30/01/2012 21:48

Are the parents literate? If not then tackle that.

The mum looks depressed. Offer counselling/Prozac/both.

RitaMorgan · 30/01/2012 21:48

If the dad was never parently adequately, he has no idea how to parent adequately himself. He just has no idea what he should be doing.

AWimbaWay · 30/01/2012 21:48

ThePathanKhansWitch, I read an article about this today, I'm not watching so won't go into detail but the little boy's situation improves.

RitaMorgan · 30/01/2012 21:49

My DS was born in that hospital!

Charlotteperkins · 30/01/2012 21:49

That newborn is going to need a lot of care.

MollieO · 30/01/2012 21:49

Why doesn't he know how much his baby weighs?

I am so relieved they have split up, she is much more likely to be a good mum without him!

AWimbaWay · 30/01/2012 21:50

Don't read if you're wanting to watch the programme, but here is the article. www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-16658110

Charlotteperkins · 30/01/2012 21:50

Domestic violence.

Knew she was better off without him.

She really needs some confidence.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 30/01/2012 21:51

Isnt she beautiful?

MollieO · 30/01/2012 21:51

AWimba there is a link to that article at the beginning of this thread.

onadietcokebreak · 30/01/2012 21:51

If tiffany engages and Is able to demonstrate the ability to be a protective parent then there is hope.

festi · 30/01/2012 21:52

she looks better already

Charlotteperkins · 30/01/2012 21:52

Depression diagnosis- why not sooner?

She does seem better.

Oh yes, thanks MollieO, I didn't click on the links!

maddiemostmerry · 30/01/2012 21:53

Poor Tiffany, she does have some insight, just not the skills.

Meglet · 30/01/2012 21:54

Tiffany needs support. I think she knows what she needs to do but is overwhelmed.
