right... How can Steve afford a house on the Street and a full scale wedding when only six months ago he was broke coz he'd spent everything and more buying Max from Becky's sister?

sailorsgal · 20/01/2012 20:56

I know and didn't he give Becky a cheque for Street cars last week?

plus he wouldve had to have paid his partner off who he owned the taxi firm with.

crazymummy87 · 20/01/2012 21:04

No becky brought lloyd out and she ripped the cheque up not that im glued to corrie mind Grin

Clawdy · 20/01/2012 21:49

Will Liz be at her son's wedding?and twin brother Andy?? I'm betting not..but how will they explain their no-show?....

EdithWeston · 20/01/2012 21:54

Perhaps Ken and Deirdre are doing the traditional thing and paying for the wedding?

I can't work out how he's managed to buy a house before selling the pub. I do hope the frightful Stella and Carl don't buy it. I'd like to see Sunita and Dev in there (provided they can take the pantomime elements put of Dev and instead have him channel Fred Elliott).

EdithWeston · 20/01/2012 21:57

Presumably his family aren't there as it's his 4th wife and 6th wedding. (I can just imagine AIBUs about that!)

thenightsky · 20/01/2012 22:02

And how can Dev buy the pub when he too was so tight for cash recently that he was lying to the two aunties in a fake Indian accent?

gregssausageroll · 23/01/2012 19:14

She goes

EdithWeston · 23/01/2012 20:36

Oh yuck, yuck, yuck - Stella and whatisname appear to have managed to finance their purchase of The Rovers.

Such a shame. They are just not right for it.

I hope most of the action will transfer to Roy's Rolls (as his mother is getting ever and ever better) or the wine bar, a place as dull as ditchwater but better than Stella.

crazymummy87 · 23/01/2012 20:53

Yayyyyyy Grin

planetpotty · 23/01/2012 20:56

Yipee! She got a happy ending Smile

hocuspontas · 23/01/2012 20:56

Thank goodness she didn't cock up! Go Becky!!

hocuspontas · 23/01/2012 20:59

I want more Roy's Rolls action as well. Certainly not Dev, I can't stand him. I want more Tracey devastation and I don't want Gail to be found out for helping humiliate her.

EdithWeston · 23/01/2012 20:59

She was good, wasn't she.

noblegiraffe · 23/01/2012 21:00

Help! I watched Corrie at Xmas with my mum and then fancied watching tonight's episode just to see how the storyline panned out. I was fine up until the bit when she met a handsome bloke at the airport with a kid and flew off first class.

Who the bloody hell was that saying he loved her? Quick work since Christmas!

LineRunner · 23/01/2012 21:01

I was moved by that ending.

myhandslooksoold · 23/01/2012 21:02

Yay!!! She deserves a happy ever after (don't we all!)

ledkr · 23/01/2012 21:02

It was brilliant,me and dd were cheering,i dont care if it was a tad unrealistic it needed to be done.

bettybat · 23/01/2012 21:06

Noblegiraffe - I have exactly the same questions. Used to be an avid Corrie fan, then lost track, needed some Northern exposure...now very confused.

Who was that guy?

I know it's lame, asking stupid questions having just got back into it again....but it has me in it's grasp again now!

LineRunner · 23/01/2012 21:07

That was Hotel Bloke at the airport, noble. He is a single father and has been transferred to Barbados and asked Becky to go with him.

5inthebed · 23/01/2012 21:11

I'm ashamed to say I cried a little when she got out the taxi to say bye to Royston and Hayley.

Imperfectionist · 23/01/2012 21:26

I'm crying my eyes out. By the end of the year Hayley and Roy, Kylie and David and Maxie will be jetting out to Barbados for her wedding, mark my words.

I hope Gail doesn't get in trouble either (or Kylie who is clearly the next gem to pull herself out of the gutter to step into Becky's shoes).

KenDoddsDadsDog · 23/01/2012 21:27

Loved the departure , it was brilliant.

Imperfectionist · 23/01/2012 21:29

I'm not ashamed, but honestly, my heart was thumping when she was working up to the big reveal in the Rovers, and then had second thoughts in the loos before Tracey turned the knife.

And Becky had some great lines tonight, I thought "what God has joined together let no man put asunder (sassily pops wedding balloon with her fag)".

She's a cracking actress, looking forward to Katherine Kelly do much more TV drama.
