Becky vs Tracey *Possible Spoilers*

I know they are working up to the big reveal at the wedding but Becky didn't need to break into the surgery, just get Danny to ask Tracey how she is feeling in the Rovers in front of all her family, Dreardie would do the rest.

where does becky go? Does she go off to Barbados (or wherever) with the Dr?

I don't like it when Becky is made to look pointlessly stupid/reckless like that. We have, over the years, seen her on a journey where she has learned control (and I happen to like the "new" Becky). I can envisage her going off on a bender and acting recklessly then, but not planned criminality. I thought this was poorly thought out and not rooted in her character.

I wish it were Tracy who was leaving.

I bloody loathe Tracy, and I like Becky. Splitting up Steve and Becky was a mistake imo. And after everything Steve went through with Tracy there is no way he'd have got back with her

The obvious way she was striding down the road with the tool thing was pathetic and if she does get the records she is going to have to explain how, which just makes her look bad.

I don't like this storyline, but I think the best denouement would be with the new man spilling the beans in The Rovers.

I really hope Becky gets to go to Barbados with the new sexy man and his motherless child. A happy ending would be fab.

I think she does get into the surgery somehow. Gail helps her and tells her what to look for thereby Gail getting her revenge. Bucky tells all at the wedding. Steve begs Bucky to come back at the airport so I presume she is off with dishy bloke.

weeks ago the police got involved - I would have thought they'd have checked Traceys medical records to find out if it was even true she'd been pregnant - and they'd have discovered then that the miscarriage happened before the incident with Becky, then would have told Becky. The whole police thing just disappeared

I also wouldnt have thought Becky would really move all that far away from Max, who's had so many abandonments?? (taking it far too seriously!)

I'd have agreed with the max comment but I think she will see it as him being with his mum etc. I do hope it is a happy ending.

I don't know if the police would be able to tell a third party (ie Becky) about someone else's confidential medical records (in this case Tracy's). But I would have thought that, having introduced the police into this storyline, they would have developed it better. But perhaps a police interview with Tracy could yet happen.

Then if we're lucky, she'll become a pariah and we won't need to see her in a single storyline ever again!

Just caught up with last night's eps. Monday looks like its going to be good but I did feel sorry for Amy when Tracey was saying about having her mum and dad living with her.

If I were to be pernickety I would have to tell you all that these days medical records are stored on computers, including letters from hospitals which are scanned on and then shredded (I work in a GP surgery) and even if she managed to get into the surgery she would then need an NHS passcard in order to access the computer system where the records were held. There would not be any paper evidence of when she lost the baby in all likelihood. The only paper records held are either historical or summary printouts from previous GPs.

But I'm not going to be pernickety so I'll let you all work it out for yourselves.

I rarely get to watch corrie these days seeing as how my daughters are addicted to crap american sitcoms.

Sposh I thought that was what happened-Gail gave Bucky (I like that for her- it's kinda spunky!) the passwords she needed to log into the Dr's account, and Bucky's sister (watch every episode but still don't know their names!) created a disturbance while Bucky dipped into the Dr's office, used the password, accessed the file, and printed the correct part of the record.

Not bad for someone who lives on The Street That Technology Forgot!

It wouldn't be just a password though. In order to access the computer systems you (I) have to insert my passcard into a slot at the side of the keyboard and then there are two different passwords and a username to enter before I'm in, and the username/passwords are unique to the card so unless she had the Drs card then his passwords would be useless.

And you wouldn't have to be a doctor to access the files! As a medical secretary I can access all the consultation details and scanned letters documents for all patients. Different staff members have different levels of access, Gail is a receptionist, right? She might not have access to consultation details, I don't know, I might have to ask one of the receptionists on monday how much access they have to patient information

I think it was just a screensaver password as the pc was already on iyswim, mind you they haven't exactly been accurate about anything in this storyline with Tracey being a transplant patient and being too far along for the losing the babies to be classed as a mc so not surprising that they wouldn't be accurate about the records too. Gail got the sack for looking at other records and will deny all knowledge, she wasn't there so they can't prove anything. Bucky will be in Barbados before anyone wonders how she got the records I expect.
