OP posts:
NanBullen · 10/01/2012 20:05

I want the "My What I Call Apron" apron. Grin

And i don't even bake!

CleanHankie · 10/01/2012 20:31

I've been eyeing up the apron too NanBullen. Might have to google for one.

And Anglea Griffin - secret Mumsnetter, just because of her "I love this oven" comment

NanBullen · 10/01/2012 20:55

i hope he asked if he could chop down that banana leaf!

SecretNutellaFix · 10/01/2012 21:02

Angela Griffin must be a MNer.

OnlyANinja · 10/01/2012 21:03

I'm watching Sue Perkins and Giles Coren on a channel called Yesterday eating medieval food.

(should there be one of those ae thingys in there?)

franke · 10/01/2012 21:06

I really enjoyed that. The one off Miranda was really funny.

"I'm going to flambe the rum."
How are you going to do that?
"...by setting fire to it."
How are you going to do that?
"...with a match."

Grin

I think I'm being a bit thick about the apron - I don't really get the joke - is there a joke?

NanBullen · 10/01/2012 21:20

It's a catchphrase off "Miranda". Her mum says it a lot, tis very funny Grin

franke · 10/01/2012 21:24

Thanks Nan. Oh and I thought that too about the banana leaf Grin

iklboo · 10/01/2012 22:14

Loved Angela Griffin tonight & her 'sweaty legs'. She's GOT to be a MNer Grin

ppeatfruit · 11/01/2012 13:46

Yes i loved A.G. too she seemed to have really low self esteem for no reason and SOOO deserved to win just to boost it!! {smile]

ppeatfruit · 11/01/2012 13:52

I also loved the fair haired gardener bloke's flapjacks arranged anally like 'bricks in a path" Grin I bet the choc and ginger was nice though Smile.

MyCatsHaveOpposableThumbs · 11/01/2012 17:59

I don't think I'll be trying the "spicy, savoury meringues" anytime soom! (boak!) I don't think Saint Mary of Berry will be either, she didn't look too impressed!

I thought to botanist bloke (he of the savoury meringues) was a bit of an arrogant arse, and was trying waaayyyy to hard! Angela Griffin and the mad teacher from Waterloo Road were lovely (thought her mixer malfunction was hilarious - I am so pleased I'be bought a K Mix, as I am sure I would end up doing the same with a magimix!)

Angela needs to finesse her presentation a bit, but the blondies looked scrummy!

SecretNutellaFix · 11/01/2012 20:04

Tonight should be interesting- I saw the trailers for tonightGrin

MunchkinsMumof2 · 11/01/2012 20:06

SecretNutellaFix · 11/01/2012 20:12

MunchkinsMumof2 · 11/01/2012 20:17

I've got a feeling that Arlene is going to be a diaaaassster dahling!

SecretNutellaFix · 11/01/2012 20:18

I'm just waiting for it to collapse on her.

MunchkinsMumof2 · 11/01/2012 20:22

Wow! I'm shocked how well she did!

QueenKong · 11/01/2012 20:23

What has Arlene done to her face? It looks like she's just had her wisdom teeth removed. Poor woman.

SecretNutellaFix · 11/01/2012 20:24

So am I!

Ooh, banana and choc chip loaf? sounds lovely!

MunchkinsMumof2 · 11/01/2012 20:25

Mmmmmm, Paul Hollywood and cake, a delicious combination!

SecretNutellaFix · 11/01/2012 20:26
