Sports relief celeb version on all week starting tonight

OP posts:
SecretNutellaFix · 11/01/2012 20:30

Bad timing!

I wonder if they'll bring out a small book for sport relief with all the recipes in? Like they did the books with the series?

MunchkinsMumof2 · 11/01/2012 20:32

Would be a good money raiser - I'd buy it!

SecretNutellaFix · 11/01/2012 20:32

So would I.

SecretNutellaFix · 11/01/2012 20:33

Arlene is no cook, that's for sure!

MunchkinsMumof2 · 11/01/2012 20:35

Can't believe she didn't look to see how everyone else melted their chocolate!

SecretNutellaFix · 11/01/2012 20:36

Oh wow- when both of the judges struggle to control their sniggers, you know it's bad!

MunchkinsMumof2 · 11/01/2012 20:37

Hilarious!

MunchkinsMumof2 · 11/01/2012 20:54

Gus's cake looked yummy, Arlene's looked grim!

MunchkinsMumof2 · 11/01/2012 20:56

Yay, I wanted her to win!

SecretNutellaFix · 11/01/2012 20:57

I'm glad.

Arlene was just sheer comic genius.

MunchkinsMumof2 · 11/01/2012 20:59

She was brilliant! I only recognised Alex Deakin from tomorrow's show, love it though!

ppeatfruit · 12/01/2012 16:25

NanBullenAt least you admit you can't bake! Smile poor old arlene was so bad she made my baking look good and i wouldn't dare go on there; sick topping for yr cake anyone ? And putting yr beans straight into yr pastry case to bake blind (i hate doing that for a quiche anyway). I'm really enjoying it!!

BTW anyone notice the size of Salty dog Paul's belly.I don't reckon these programmes are doing his figure any favours !!

Pishtushette · 12/01/2012 20:03

I fantasise about being a great baker and baking cakes in my beautiful kitchen

SecretNutellaFix · 12/01/2012 20:15

I'm generally a pretty good baker, although when it fails, it FAILS.

Kellamity · 12/01/2012 20:16

Ooooh crumble, I make a mean crumble but mine bubbles through - it's how we like it!!! Grin

dustlandfairytale · 12/01/2012 20:20

Love this show. I was so fed up this evening and I'm smiling again.(Also realise I am quite good at crumble too :)

MunchkinsMumof2 · 12/01/2012 20:42

Am loving this episode as much as last night's! I dont want this series to end, it's sublime.

iklboo · 12/01/2012 21:16

Apple & cider crumble with choc chips in the crumble mix. That's my favourite

MunchkinsMumof2 · 12/01/2012 21:22

That sounds delicious ikiboo! Loved that and think Anita was a worthy winner.

ppeatfruit · 13/01/2012 12:44

Kellamity OF COURSE your filling bubbles through the topping in yr crumble; to be delicious it SHOULD! It always has IME.They make up the rules IMO .

Yes Anita was a class cook not like some of the others Grin I bet she wins!!

I agree munchkins I'm looking forward to tonights.

NanBullen · 13/01/2012 20:34

Angela is hilarious Grin

MunchkinsMumof2 · 13/01/2012 21:44

The right winner imo, sad it's finished though as one of the best shows on tv!

ppeatfruit · 14/01/2012 09:58

Yes the right winner! I liked the way she took risks with the icing on her special occasion cake and that cup and little tpot Sweet! I'm sad it's finished. I liked Angela a lot she seemed so REAL.

WhatsWrongWithYule · 14/01/2012 10:08

I really enjoyed that too - although sadly I missed Arlene's extravaganza.
I actually thought Angela might win, although Anita was clearly very competent as well. Angela's lemon cake looked so pretty and appealing - felt slightly sick at the prospect of eating Anita's.
One thing: is Fi Glover really only 41? She looks like she's had a hard life if that's the case!

iklboo · 14/01/2012 13:07

Paul Hollywood has confirmed a new series will be filmed/shown later this year. I wish we had 'reach in the telly-ovision'. Close up of scrummy cake, lean into tv & grab yourself a slice! Grin
