I watch Kirsty thinking, "if a man were doing all these things, there would be loads of coverage of it everywhere, red flags for full blown abuse" :(

She's a proper nut case ain't she. I'm really gutted for Ty he needs a decent bird that is his match. Molly was in a way till she decided to sleep with the local prat.

Yeah Kirsty ends up pregnant but there is some sort of fight between her and Kirsty first.

I don't see how they are going to bring Frank attacking Sally into it. If he's cleared surely he won't just do it straight away?

The Frank storyline has been so badly mishandled it's fast becoming unwatchable. As has Carla's response. I really cannot bear the endless repetitive showdowns. I just want it over.

Last night's episodes were beyond dull - I couldn't even raise sympathy for Rita as this potentially interesting nugget was buried in so much tedium.

I didn't watch all of last weeks episodes, and am currently tuning in only in the hope of a recovery to form.

How to recover - ditch Carla: the Peter/Carla storyline is woeful. She should decide to move permanently to US. Terminate the Frank storyline asap. Get rid of Kirsty (even by implausible accident - just do it quickly). Find a way to keep Steve in The Rovers, and have Tracey leave. Restore the old rhythm and stop having characters popping up and then vanishing for weeks (why haven't we seen more of baby Joseph? Why aren't people popping in and out of the cafe and the shop more often?). Phase out Amber, and give Rosie her brain back.

Agree with everything you have said Edith and would add get rid of Dev. Also Michelle. There is a lot of dead wood (and overcrowded houses and flats).

I'd keep Dev, but would revamp him (getting Amber out would help), and turn him into a sort of Fred Elliott-lite. And I think you're right about Michelle.
