Oh I could slap her - poor Ty.

OP posts:
Collision · 07/01/2012 12:26

Ooh yeah, Mike Baldwin was lovely. Terry Duckworth was too.

I do like Tommy Duckworth though.....I think he and Tina will be lovely together!

Michelle needs to go....no point in her being there.
Steve needs to break up with Tracy soon and he will when he finds out about her lying about Becky I m sure.

EdithWeston · 07/01/2012 12:33

Maybe Sunita and Dev should take over The Rovers? Both are characters capable of doing so much more than the cardboard they'e been given recently.

Yes, I'd love to see Brian and Julie breed - I don't think they need ant dramatic story lines, just bringing their personalities to the usual events of family life would be great. Can't you just imagine how Brian would treat her as a precious vessel during pregnancy? How she would react to the minor pregnancy things like piles and heartburn? How PFB their baby would be? How they would agonise over whether to marry before or after the birth? How Julie would be over wedding planning?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 07/01/2012 13:09

I like Rosie's hair but think Eileen's current style is ageing.

I think Fiz and Tyrone should get back together.

Sophie to go back to college . Brian and Julie definitely need meatier storylines. Where do they live?

Where does Michelle live?

Also, how on earth is Streetcars surviving? No Lloyd, No Eileen, no one on the switch, no drivers, Steve part time at best, Becky presumably not actively involved.

katkitya · 07/01/2012 13:12

Believe it or not Brian and Julie live above a butchers, as headmasters do.

Michelle with Carla, I think.

Collision · 07/01/2012 13:23

I think Eileen might have had a demi wave!

I think it sort of suits her as he hair is very thin.

katkitya · 07/01/2012 16:51

I'm sure she's only supposed to be my age, bless her. I want her to be happy.

Have you noticed how they have brought that new factory girl in to be like Leanne's mother, Janice?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 07/01/2012 17:15

I wondered if the new factory woman was that old flame of Steve's that he arranged a date with a few months ago in the bistro?

katkitya · 07/01/2012 17:36

I was thinking that too. The one with the son.

GoingForGoalWeight · 07/01/2012 20:36

The storylines move so quickly I lose track.
Coronation Street is changing for the worst not better.
Dumbing down to the extreme.

Why the need to keep doing that to everything on the television?

FlightRisk · 07/01/2012 20:50

Ooh I like the Fireman. when I used to watch him in hollyoaks my friend and I called him a DILF ( Dad I'd like to F**k Grin)

Bossybritches22 · 08/01/2012 01:03

Was going to post about this so glad I'm not he only one.

Sally & Frank....WTF? Isn't she about 15 years older than him to start with? They've made her a nasty character of late & I used to like Sal. T'will end in tears.

Peter & Carla- all sympathy I had for either of them, her as a rape victim & he as a struggling alchy has gone, the storyline is pure boring adultery, and how can they do it to poor Simon let alone Liane??

Tina is too boshie for words with police in general but I love her & her relationship with Rita. Kirsty is turning out to be a great psycho-bitch, shame Ty can't see it yet although I think the penny is starting to drop.

I like Fireman Chris, I think he's a sweetie and, god forgive me, but I hope Lesley (wife) somehow dies so he & Eileen can be together properly. I think THAT storyline is a good one, raises all sorts of issues about early Altzheimers and the awful situations it puts the carers in.

Mary drives me nuts, drooling over Norris, and although I loved the characters at first the Sophie/Sian strong young gays have deteriorated into screaming whinging young brats, & the whole thing with Amber has been handled far too clunkily.

Can you tell we're Corrie addicts in our house?!!

katkitya · 08/01/2012 11:22

I think Peter and Carla will be outed soon as Stacy from Eastenders seems to have cottoned on. It wont end well.

The Sally storyline is just stupid, never mind the age gap. How can he get away with raping Carla and then turn around and rape Sally within days?

I want Sophie to go back to college and be a proper lesbian,. I will go mad if she goes back to boys.

I love Hayley and Roy and I want them to have a new storyline. I guess we are all ready for Becky to go so, I wish they would wrap that up quickly.

whatkungfuthat · 08/01/2012 12:04

The fireman gives me the creeps but I hope Stella takes on Carla over Peter, she needs to have a decent storyline. Poor Ty, its not going to end well whatever happens.

Bossybritches22 · 08/01/2012 13:33

Oh yes Stella is SO on to him, just waiting for her to make that final connection.

The Sally/Frank storyline is cringworthy, & Carla is going to get stiched like a kipper as the Peter/Carla affair will come out and poor Liane will be publicly humilated yet again.

Grin at Sophie being a proper lesbian at college, I agree.

The Croppers indeed need a new storyline-I believe Sylvia's cruise ship suitor comes in soon (Robert Vaughan from the Hustle) which should give us a giggle.

I thought Becky was leaving at Christmas, indeed I thought the fire would be her exit. I love Becky, she's so loving and yet so flawed, but if she's going she
needs to go quickly.

katkitya · 08/01/2012 13:43

She has to, shes in a play at the National soon. Shakespeare or summat.

I think that Cindy from Eastenders will deck Carla. That poor Simon though. Im surprised Ken hasnt noticed. We need to get rid of Tracey but, I havent read anywhere that shes going anytime soon.

Bossybritches22 · 08/01/2012 14:29

Yes I thought she was moving on to something else!

I hope Stella or someone decks Carla, as I said I had loads of sympathy after the rape storyline I thought Alison King did a brilliant job, but now she's just being the sleazy OW. It's a toss-up as to who decks Peter first, Stella or Leanne, hopefully one then the other!!

We all keep saying "poor Simon" Leanne is the nearest thing he has to a mother.

Tracey needs to go but I think she's too good as resident psycho-bitch, can't wait for Dierdre to drop her in it and tell Steve the truth about the babies.

katkitya · 08/01/2012 17:40

Is that whats going to happen? Her devotion to Tracey is mind blowing.

Bossybritches22 · 08/01/2012 23:07

Just my guess, she's battling with her conscience, I think.

When does bloody Rosie leave? In RL she's become a WAG, so she must be swanning off soon then Jase can get a GF who is nicer to him!!!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 08/01/2012 23:26

I can't believe Ken hasn't twigged there's something not right about all this, or that Tracey and Deirdre didn't tell him or Steve about the miscarriage as soon as it happened.

PermaLice · 08/01/2012 23:31

Battling with her conscience? How could the viewer possibly know this? She (and everyone else connected with this) isn't featuring at all at the moment.

katkitya · 08/01/2012 23:57

Ken usually cops on to everything. Im sure if you had miscarried twins halfway through the pregnancy you would at least tell the people you were living with and not wait until days later to pretend you had been pushed down the stairs. I wish it was her that was going and not Becky.

whatkungfuthat · 09/01/2012 08:11

Ken was away when it happened iirc, they called him after she fell. I've seen spoilers about how Becky proves Tracey is lying but there are much simpler and believable ways than what has been suggested.

EdithWeston · 09/01/2012 09:04

It wasn't really a miscarriage - Corrie was shamefully inaccurate there.

At 26 weeks, that s two babies stillborn.

ken s away - he was visiting his son, Daniel.

Bossybritches22 · 09/01/2012 10:29

Last few times Dierdre was on it showed her getting increasingly uncomfortable with Our Tracey's lies that's what prompted her to visit Becky & try & get her to leave. Yes Ken was away he'll smell a rat soon if T won't talk to the police.

Surely if you'd had a fall & twin stillbirth you wouldn't be out in 24hrs?

Mind you that would explain why she went dizzy and fell downstairs after having a hizzy fit at Becky.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 09/01/2012 11:03

Yes, you are right Edith, stillbirth would be correct. It is unrealistic in so many ways, I also agree that Tracey would have taken longer to deliver the babies and recover physically than she did, not to mention the emotional impact (I know she's heartless but still).

You would also have thought that Tracey would be having consultations with the hospital etc to determine the true cause of the loss of the babies.
