I have had 60 (count em) selection boxes to wrap today, for school Christmas fair. I have one left to do, and have resisted the urge to eat any. I am losing the will to live though.

Ivanta, I feel your pain. I'm organising the raffle and managed to foist that particular horror on to someone else, but had to suffer the perfickly dwedful
job of going round local businesses asking for prizes. It was painful. And then yesterday the bastard caff who offered a cake told me I can have it 'at cost', ie what they said was a donation is actually them just ordering a cake for me. I may throw it in his face.

midnightexpress, I do that too but I just send them all begging letters, can't face asking in person. Our school has about 300 parents and 3 of us running the PFA.

It's crap isn't it? I dipped my toe in the PTA water and was immediately dragged under because there's nobody to do anything except a hard core of about 6 of us. I haven't done any of yer actual paid work for about a month. Sheesh.

Once you're in, you can NEVER leave (unless your child does). People swerve to avoid me in the playground because they think I'm going to ask them to help. Or maybe they just don't like me :)

I've spent the morning cleaning up sick but I can't find an effective way of getting the lumps out the gaps in the floorboards. Have tried a folded up bit of paper but it gets jammed on the crusted sublayer of detrius

I've done the trip round the shops begging for school fair several times, and enjoyed it! But then I do watch XFactory so must be a masochist.
