scaevola · 12/11/2011 22:06

It was one of the times my parents used to let me stay up late when I was little. I used to half recognise those who appeared year after year. There seem so few now - actually so few now in any part of the muster, and there are fewer military displays (I remember big PTI displays on impressively huge kit that was assembled with precision and removed so swiftly.

The entertainment part is a shadow of its former self. But the set pieces remain as moving as ever.

recall · 12/11/2011 22:07

Gurkhas ?

orienteerer · 12/11/2011 22:08

recall.....what's wrong with the Gurkas?

OP posts:
recall · 12/11/2011 22:08

I once heard that every time a Gurkha gets his knife out, he has to draw blood, so will nick his own finger with it if necessary before putting it back. Don't know if its true.

RueDeWakening · 12/11/2011 22:08

The double time marching was...rapid :o

MrsSnaplegs · 12/11/2011 22:09

Scaevola we lost most of the display teams in the last round of redundancies in 1995/6

recall · 12/11/2011 22:09

Nothing wrong with them, I think they are great. I was just asking, are these the Gurkhas ?

Bossybritches22 · 12/11/2011 22:10

Awwww love these old boys.......tearing up already.
